Week 6 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em RB analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of Arizona Cardinals’ RB Michael Carter.

The running back position for fantasy football has been chaotic this season, with injuries happening left and right. This, combined with both the Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans on bye, means creating your starting lineup could be a bit difficult. Today, we’ll go over our Week 6 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em to help you decide on some of those tough lineup decisions.

No, you are not sitting Saquon Barkley, even though has has not played up to his level. Simply, start your studs! This article is designed to help solve some of those difficult RB2 or Flex questions you may have, with players who live in that grey area.

Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out my weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with me and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 6 RBs

Start: Michael Carter Fantasy Outlook at Colts

FantasyPros’ Expert Consensus Ranking (ECR) Rank: 25

Zach Brunner’s Week 6 Fantasy Football Rankings

After leading the new Arizona Cardinals backfield without both James Conner and Trey Benson, Michael Carter should be started with confidence in fantasy football Week 6. Last week, Carter played over 57% of the snaps, carrying the ball 18 times while totaling five receptions. This resulted in 73 total yards and a touchdown. He was trusted on the goal-line touchdown, and after not dropping the ball willfully instead of scoring a touchdown (like Emari Demercado), his trust should be on the rise.

So, if Michael Carter is seeing the majority of the touches, this is already a good thing. His matchup against the Indianapolis Colts is what makes this great! The Colts have allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to RBs. However, if you look into this closer, you will notice the Colts surrender 4.5 yards per carry to running backs. A heavy workload again will mean high yardage with a high possibility of scoring again.

Start: Jacory Croskey-Merritt Fantasy Outlook vs Bears

ECR Ranks: 18

You all know that have been beating the drum to pump the brakes on Jacory Croskey-Merritt dating back to the preseason. Well, I am changing my tune this week, featuring “Bill” as a “start” in the Week 6 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em. While JCM played less than half of the snaps last week, his 28 snaps played were 13 more than both Chris Rodriguez and Jeremy McNicols. The best part is that he played well, totaling 150 yards on 16 touches.

This week, Jacory Croskey-Merritt fantasy owners should start him against the Bears. Chicago has been friendly to running backs this season, allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to the position (31.1). Look for the rookie’s snaps to increase gradually, and he could be on the field for over half of the snaps this week, especially if Chicago’s pass rush is neutralized.

Sit: Alvin Kamara Fantasy Outlook at Patriots

ECR Rank: 26

Alvin Kamara has seen his snap share reduce every single week this season, leading to him playing just 56% of the snaps last week. He has surrendered early-down duties to Kendre Miller, and he may not see many goal-line opportunities either (not that the Saints have many). So, reducing his workload and touchdown opportunities means Alvin Kamara is a “sit” in the Week 6 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Kamara was also injured in practice on Wednesday, hurting his ankle. This sounds like he will see his workload reduced even more, especially if the New Orleans Saints are shopping the veteran. The matchup against the New England Patriots stinks as well. This season, the Patriots have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs and the third-fewest yards per carry through five weeks (3.5).

Sit: Tony Pollard Fantasy Outlook at Raiders

ECR Rank: 27

I fear the Tony Pollard fantasy value for this season has already peaked, and he may be reduced to nothing more than a bye week fill-in. Last week, Tyjae Spears made his season debut, playing a quarter of the snaps. All signs point to his workload increasing, meaning Pollard will no longer be the bell cow. He hasn’t been efficient despite dominating the snaps either, totaling just 328 yards on 82 carries. So, with a reduced workload, you will want to avoid Pollard.

On top of the workload reduction, the matchup is not good either. You may not think it on its surface, but the Las Vegas Raiders’ run defense has been solid. They have been a top-10 defense in yards per carry allowed (4.0), and Pollard will not be used as a receiver much.
