Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 4 WRs Include Tetairoa McMillan

Week 4 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em WR analysis from FlurrySports includes the likes of Carolina Panthers WR Tetairoa McMillan.

It was quite the week for passing attacks around the NFL. Poor quarterback play, injuries, and the inability to beat base defenses led to some real stinkers. This week, the quarterback position changes a bit more, with rookie Jaxson Dart making his debut while some other passers could be returning from injuries. The only thing that has been consistent has been the inconsistency, and this can make it tough to feel confident about your starting lineup.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 4 RBs Include Omarion Hampton

September 25, 2025

In this weekly Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article, we will be talking about the WR2/3 grey area, where you may have some tough decisions that will need to be made. Players like Jaxon Smith-Njigba or Malik Nabers will not be discussed. Yes, start them. You drafted them early for a reason, and it’s too early to move away from them! Instead, we are more concerned about the low-end WR2 or WR3 area where a player with a solid matchup should return value that is worth the start, and vice versa.

Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out my weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with me and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 4 WRs

Start: Tetairoa McMillan Fantasy Outlook at Patriots

FantasyPros’ Expert Consensus Ranking (ECR) Rank: 14

Zach Brunner’s Week 4 Fantasy Football Rankings

From the eye test, rookie Tetairoa McMillan looks like the real deal. However, if you want to be a box score analyst, the Tetairoa McMillan fantasy football production has been a bit of a letdown. So far, he ranks as WR30 in PPR scoring. However, if you become a member and check out my Opportunity Index, you could see that McMillan is tied for sixth among WRs in looks per game, and he is 13th in air yards per game. The issue is that Bryce Young isn’t great, and McMillan hasn’t scored a touchdown in the league yet, but that could happen on Sunday.

Now, watch the injury report for the Carolina receiver, since he is dealing with a calf issue. Assuming he plays, you should feel comfortable starting him. Christian Gonzalez may still be a week away from making his season debut for New England. Even if he does play, we shouldn’t expect a full snap count.

The Patriots have really struggled against the pass this season. They have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to WRs, surrendering 490 yards and four touchdowns through the air. New England has allowed easy throws as well, as they have allowed the third-highest completion rate in the league (74.2%). Again, watch the injury report. If active, he is a start in our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em. For whatever it is worth, McMillan said Wednesday that he expects to play.

Start: Quentin Johnston Fantasy Outlook at Giants

ECR Ranks: 30

The third-most owned wide receiver for the Los Angeles Chargers should be started this week. In fact, I have confidence in Ladd McConkey and Keenan Allen as well, but I figured you would have the most questions about starting Johnston, given his owners compared to the other two. It does feel strange that the Chargers have two top-10 fantasy football WRs this season, and McConkey is neither, but I digress.

I had my questions and doubts about Johnston. However, given his performance against a tough defense like the Broncos last week (6-89), we should be starting Johnston until he proves to us that he is inconsistent. So far, he has 7+ targets and 70+ yards in every single game. That’s no fluke. The Giants have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing WRs this season, and they have allowed a 66.4% completion rate. On the road, look for the Chargers to move the ball in this game, and Johnston will be part of that.

Sit: DK Metcalf Fantasy Outlook vs Vikings

ECR Rank: 25

Again, it is important to note these two players in the Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em are not “must-sit” players. However, there is a lot happening for DK Metcalf in this game. For starters, this is an international game, so there is no home-field advantage, the field surface quality is up in the air, and the players’ schedules will be messed up. Metcalf appears to be the type of person who is incredibly structured, so throwing off his weekly routine could mean a poor performance.

Removing speculation, though, the Minnesota Vikings have been insanely good against the pass, and Harrison Smith has played in only one game. The Vikings have given up a TOTAL of 278 receiving yards and one touchdown to the WR position (best in the league). There is a chance the Steelers could pepper Metcalf with targets, but that has not happened to this point.

The Vikings will bring pressure, and the ball will come out quickly. This likely means the ball is not going to Metcalf. Rather, the quick passes are more likely to go to running backs and tight ends.

Sit: Tee Higgins Fantasy Outlook at Broncos

ECR Rank: 33

For the record, last week should be the worst performance we will see out of the Cincinnati Bengals’ offense. However, they get to follow up that disaster against the Vikings with a matchup against the Broncos, which is just as tough. The game is in Denver as well, in front of a rowdy crowd that will help the Broncos’ pass rushers.

Tee Higgins has a total of 23.4 fantasy points this season, good for WR61 in PPR scoring. Obviously, you haven’t been happy with Higgins so far. This is me letting you know that it is indeed okay to sit the WR2 for the Bengals.

The Broncos’ secondary may be the best in the league, and I would argue they have been underperforming to this point. Still, they have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to WRs and the fourth-lowest completion rate (57.8%). It is likely to be another tough game for Jake Browning, and Tee Higgins is unfortunately included with that.
