Don’t have a tight end? No worries! Stream these fantasy football TE options in Week 3 of the NFL season, including Cleveland Browns Harold Fannin Jr!

As we enter the third week of the NFL season, you may have drafted with the strategy of streamers at the fantasy football TE position. This has been a common strategy for many years. There is also a chance you suffered an injury at the position already, with a player like George Kittle getting banged up. So, if you don’t have an elite option to lock in for Week 3, you may be looking to stream your tight end in order to get a win this week.

Harold Fannin Jr vs Green Bay Packers (32.3%)

Last week, in the Cleveland Browns’ blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens, there was not a lot to be happy about on the fantasy football side of things. One player, though, who continues to show that he is a part of this offense is Harold Fannin Jr. Even with David Njoku playing, Fannin was on the field for 46 snaps in Week 2, catching all five of his targets for 48 yards. Through two weeks, that gives Fannin the Browns’ team lead in receptions. With 14 targets and one rush attempt, it is clear that Fannin is going to continue to be involved in this offense.

This week, Fannin gets a solid matchup for tight ends against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers surrendered a big week to Zach Ertz that included a touchdown, but with Fannin’s use all over the short to intermediate field, it is hard to justify a team’s leader in targets being on waivers.

The Browns may have struck gold with Harold Fannin Jr. look at him getting to the second level avoiding the LB by dipping his shoulder like a WR, not getting rerouted, and able to go up and climb the ladder for this snag. pic.twitter.com/eVU7hr3gb5

AJ Barner vs New Orleans Saints (0.4%)

When looking at the matchups for the fantasy football TE position this week, there are few better matchups for tight ends who are owned in less than 60% of leagues than AJ Barner. This week, the Seattle Seahawks take on the New Orleans Saints, who have given up 120 yards and one touchdown on 21 targets to tight ends throughout the season. Even in limited targets last week, Barner was able to find the end zone to put together a good fantasy day by tight end standards. While the target share is not the most impressive thing in the world, Barners’ lion’s share of the snaps at tight end is. Last week, he was on the field for 89% of the offensive snaps.

As Seattle wants to run the football, Barner, who is a good run blocker, will continue to see opportunities to be on the field. It is likely going to be a touchdown that gives him a respectable week, but with how much he is on the field, a touchdown is never out of the question for Barner.

Jake Tonges vs Arizona Cardinals (2.3%)

When a player goes down with an injury, the most obvious player to pick up to fill that spot is the player who fills their spot in real football. For the San Francisco 49ers, it appears that Jake Tonges will be the player to fill in for George Kittle. His Week 2 fantasy snap count and route run proved this. Going up against the Cardinals this week, who have surrendered 159 yards to the fantasy football TE position this year, Tonges is looking to build upon his performance last week.

Last week, Tonges registered 31 yards on five targets. While that is nothing to write home about, he did find the end zone in Week 1. While we know Tonges is not going to play like George Kittle, averaging just north of seven fantasy points per game is worth a streamer if you need it. On top of that, we know that Mac Jones won’t take any chances if he doesn’t have to, so with Purdy and Kittle out, I would assume Jones needs to get Tonges involved for the offense to run smoothly.
