We are past the midpoint of the fantasy football regular season, and we have seen many trades with big-name wide receivers in the NFL. Davante Adams, Amari Cooper, DeAndre Hopkins and Diontae Johnson have all been on the move to AFC teams. The movements of these WRs may have shifted your fantasy team in how you play them, creating some headaches. That is where we at FlurrySports come in. Below is our WR Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article to help you get the victory in your leagues.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 9 WRs
Start: Jayden Reed Fantasy Outlook vs Detroit Lions
The Green Bay Packers slot receiver can be put into your lineup this week. Jayden Reed has kind of cooled off a bit from his hot streak between Weeks 3-6. In the last two weeks against the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars, he’s had a total of 10.5 points. This week though, the Packers will host the Detroit Lions.
The Lions have not been able to stop WRs this year. The Lions have given up the third-most points to WRs (fourth-most to slot WRs this year.) Reed will be in the slot for most of the game. Trust Jayden Reed enough to put him in your lineup.

Start: Courtland Sutton Fantasy Outlook vs Baltimore Ravens
Courtland Sutton will find his way onto the starting side of the Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article. Bo Nix seems to have found his way for the Denver Broncos. That is going to help out his receiving corps. Courtland Sutton should be the one who benefits the most from this. Sutton has been boom or bust the last three weeks, scoring 15.3 and 17.1 points in Weeks 6 and 8, respectively. He did lay a goose egg in the middle of those two games against the New Orleans Saints, though.
Hosting the Denver Broncos is the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens’ defense has given up the second-most fantasy points per game this year to WRs. Through the first eight games, the Ravens have given up 20.4 average points per game to WR1s (including when Mike Evans went down in the first quarter of their game). Sutton should be good enough to help you out in your matchup this Sunday.

Sit: Zay Flowers Fantasy Outlook vs Denver Broncos
Zay Flowers will find himself on the sit portion of this Week 9 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article. Flowers will have to deal with the addition of Diontae Johnson coming into Baltimore this week. We don’t know how much snap count he will have, but he will probably take some looks away from Flowers.
On the other side of the ball are the Denver Broncos and Patrick Surtain II. We have said in past articles how good Surtain is against the opposing WRs this year. Surtain and the rest of the Denver Broncos have allowed the fourth-fewest points against to WRs this season. Flowers should be left on your bench this week.
Sit: Tank Dell Fantasy Outlook vs New York Jets
Tank Dell is the other “sit” for us in Week 9. Dell seems like he should have a good game with Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs out, but it will hurt him this week. Xavier Hutchinson and Robert Woods will be alongside Dell in the WR room. They will not help take away coverage to get Dell open.
The New York Jets also have one of the best DB rooms in the league as well. DJ Reed, Michael Carter II and Sauce Gardner have helped the Jets defense to allow the second-fewest points to WRs, and the fewest to WRs on the perimeter. Dell will be on the outside more often than not and lining up against Gardner and Reed. Dell is not one you want to have in your lineups this week.
