Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 6 WRs Include Jordan Addison

While the two teams on bye this week (Packers and Steelers) don’t feature many fantasy starters, there are enough injuries and struggling players to give you headaches when figuring out who to start. That is where we come in, helping you with this Week 6 WR Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis.

Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs and Ja’Marr Chase. However, the WR2 and WR3 positions are a bit more fluid, causing some tough decisions to be made. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 6 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em analysis at WR.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 6 WRs

Start: Jordan Addison Fantasy Outlook at Bears

While the Justin Jefferson injury is a major bummer, it does vault the Jordan Addison fantasy football value. Through five weeks, Addison has been playing behind KJ Osborn in the Minnesota Vikings’ offense, but he has outperformed him simply due to how talented he is. Now, without Jefferson, Addison is going to receive many more snaps and targets.

Along with the massive increase in usage, the biggest reason for featuring Jordan Addison in this week’s Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em is the matchup. The Chicago Bears’ defense blows. Chicago surrenders the second-most yards per pass attempt (8.0) and over a 70% completion rate. Addison and the Vikings’ offense should be able to move the ball this week, despite being without Jefferson.

Start: Michael Pittman Jr. Fantasy Outlook at Jaguars

While the loss of Anthony Richardson is disappointing for Indianapolis Colts fans, it does likely improve the fantasy potential for the pass catchers in this offense. That starts with the WR1, which is Michael Pittman Jr.

Minshew has been much more efficient throwing the football than Richardson this season, and he has looked more confident as well. In a revenge spot against his former team, look for Minshew to take some shots, leading to a solid Michael Pittman Jr. fantasy football performance. He may top his previous game against the Jags in Week 1 when he totaled 97 yards and a touchdown.

Sit: Terry McLaurin Fantasy Outlook at Falcons

Terry McLaurin has been a popular player in this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em series. This week, you should lower your expectations for the Washington Commanders’ wide receiver.

McLaurin faces off against an Atlanta Falcons secondary that has been solid this season. The Falcons surrender the sixth-fewest fantasy points to WRs. Atlanta’s defense also ranks in the top 10 for completion percentage and yards per pass attempt. You may have a better choice to start this week.

Sit: Chris Olave Fantasy Outlook at Texans

We saw last week that Chris Olave was working through an injury prior to the game. This week, he is listed with a toe injury. This, combined with the matchup and his overall lack of success this season, has him as a “sit” in our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

The New Orleans Saints face off against the Houston Texans this week. Houston has been the third-toughest matchup for fantasy football WRs this season. While this certainly doesn’t mean the Texans are a good pass defense, it suggests they are easier to attack with other methods, which New Orleans will likely exploit, leading to a less-than-stellar day from Chris Olave.

While he’s not a must-sit, you may want to check out the fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option.
