NFL Week 2 for the Rams started with Akers being a surprise healthy scratch, which was followed by the rumor of Cam Akers being placed on the trade block. We’ve done this song and dance before, but the performance from the dual-threat, second-year running back could be enough to finally part ways with Akers.

Williams ended up playing 76/80 offensive snaps for the Los Angeles Rams, which is a workload that is tough to find (and possibly tough to replicate). Regardless, he impressed with the massive workload, running for 52 yards and a touchdown while adding another six receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown. This 28-point performance in PPR fantasy football leagues made Kyren Williams the RB2 for the week, prior to Monday Night Football.
While it will be tough for Williams to dominate snaps and targets to this degree consistently, he is clearly a player to own. Kyren Williams fantasy football owners can start him as an RB2 with upside next week.
If you are looking for a sneaky add, rookie Zach Evans was a healthy scratch early in the season, but it would be surprising if this continued the entire year. He is a talented running back who could end up being a solid flex, at some point.
