    No. 13 Oregon Ducks (2-0) are set to host the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (1-2) for a Week 3 non-conference matchup at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.

    The Ducks last defeated the Rainbow Warriors in Eugene almost a century ago (1929). Hawaii last won a road/neutral game against a Pac-12 opponent in 2009 in Seattle (vs. Washington State, 38-20). Since then, they’ve lost 11 straight games.

    Oregon Ducks (2-0) secured their second win of the season when they traveled to Lubbock and won a 38-30 battle against Texas Tech Red Raiders, where quarterback Bo Nix produced another memorable performance, going 32-of-44 for 359 yards and two touchdowns.

    This year, Oregon ranks 59th in total defense (328 yards allowed per game) but is performing well on the other side of the ball, ranking second-best in the FBS with 600.5 total yards per contest.

    Regarding passing yards, Oregon has been a top-25 unit offensively and ranks 7th best in the FBS by totaling 370 per contest. Defensively, they rank 30th on defense (giving up 167 passing yards per contest).

    On the offensive side of the ball, the Ducks have been a top-25, averaging 59.5 points per game (Best in the FBS). Meanwhile, they rank 49th defensively (18.5 points allowed per game).

    In terms of rushing yards, the Ducks have been a top-25 unit offensively, totaling 230.5 per contest (15th best in the FBS). Defensively, they rank 100th (giving up 161 rushing yards per game).

    On the offensive side, the Ducks have posted a 52% third-down percentage (34th best in the FBS). Defensively, they rank 83rd, surrendering a 42.9% third-down conversion rate.

    Oregon ranks 14th in the FBS with five forced turnovers. Also, they have committed zero turnovers (1st in the FBS). With that, their +5 turnover margin is the fourth-best in college football.

    Hawai’i (1-2) secured their first win last week against Albany 31-20, where quarterback Brayden Schager ran the show, going 23-of-40 for 266 yards, four touchdowns, and throwing three interceptions. In that game, Steven McBride had seven catches for 72 yards and two scores.

    On the offensive side of the ball, Rainbow Warriors currently rank 83rd with 373.3 total yards per game and giving up 314 total yards per game (48th ranked) on the defensive side.

Moreover, UH’s rushing offense has been a bottom-25 unit this season, posting 49.3 rushing yards per contest (sixth-worst in the FBS). Defensively, they rank 51st with giving up 107 rushing yards per game.

    Hawaii ranks 72nd in the FBS regarding third-down efficiency with a 40.9% third-down conversion rate and 85th on the other side of the ball with a surrendering 43.2% third-down rate.

    This season, Rainbow Warriors have faced two turnovers and turned it over five times, resulting in a -3 turnover margin (24th-worst in the FBS).

    Oregon coach Dan Lanning gave the following remarks on Hawaii’s defense:

    “A lot of these guys could be playing a lot of programs in the nation. And one thing they’ve done a good job of is they’ve mixed in a lot of simulated pressures that they’re using now. I think those have created a lot of those TFLs. They do a good job of fitting runs. And they play with tremendous effort..”
