Are you looking for sports apparel? Do you want to rep your favorite sports team? Well, there’s no better way to show your support than buying a sports decal. Helmet decals are an excellent addition for any sports fan or serious athlete. There are so many different styles and designs available that the possibilities are nearly endless. But before you buy one, it’s vital to get the facts right.

The sports apparel market is estimated to reach $248.1 billion by 2026. By knowing about your options, you can be sure that you will get precisely what you want without overpaying for extra features or designs.

Sports decals come in various materials, styles, designs, and colors. So, before you make a purchase, read about the pros and cons of each material and design mentioned in the article below.

What Do You Need to Know Before Buying Helmet Decals?

    Decal Material

The material your decal is made out of can make all the difference. Your options include vinyl, polyurethane, polyethylene, and 3M Crystalline.

    • Vinyl Decals

The material will last you a while, but it isn’t very flexible. It tends to crack in colder conditions and loses color in high heat. In addition to that, the adhesive is not very strong.

    • Polyurethane Decal

The material, while still flexible, won’t lose its color in heat or cold. The adhesive is pretty decent, but it tends to make a mess when you remove it.

    • Polyethylene Decals

The decal will last longer than vinyl while still being flexible. It has better adhesive than vinyl, but it will lose color if exposed to high heat.

    • 3M Crystalline Decals

The material is the best option for durability, flexibility, and color retention. The only problem is that the helmets are pricey compared to other decal types. Also, the adhesive isn’t as good as others, so they tend to fall off easily.

    Decal Style

The style of decal you get can also make a significant price difference. The most popular type of helmet decals is water transfer decals for sports. Other styles include printed vinyl and cut vinyl stickers.

    • Water Transfer Decals

Many people think these are painted on because they are so realistic. They also last a long time and work well under extreme conditions. You can even do multi-colored designs with this type of decal.

    • Printed Vinyl

It is the least expensive option, and it’s fundamental and straightforward. It has one color, but you can still get custom designs printed for special events. The downside is that it doesn’t work under extreme conditions and will fade over time.

    • Cut Vinyl

The decal type is just like printed vinyl, except you get a separate transparent sheet with the design on it and then cut around each letter or image before applying them to your helmet. You also get full-color designs, but the decals are less durable than water transfer decals.

    • Decal Designs and Colors

It is crucial to note that you can choose between different designs and colors for your custom sports decal.

    Design

Your options include 5-star rating decals for coaches, player numbers, sports logos/symbols, and more. You can also get custom-designed badges to show school spirit or support for an individual player.

    Color

You can choose between so many colors that the possibilities are nearly endless. Standard options include school colors, team colors, or bright solid colors.

Decals are a fun way to show your support of the game, and they are available in so many different styles, materials, designs, and colors that you can get just about anything that you need.

Knowing these options before buying will help to ensure that you get precisely what you are looking for without overpaying for it.
