Look, no one said that navigating through the fantasy football playoffs would be easy. Along with injuries, a certain turd of a virus has decided to make that endeavor all the more challenging for managers this season. On the bright side, the pool from which to find possible replacements and fantasy football streamers is full now that all 32 teams have had their respective bye weeks. For those in need of some TE streamers options for the semifinal round of the fantasy playoffs, you have come to the right place!
Read on for three fantasy football streamers at tight end for Week 16 of the NFL season. At the end of the column, readers will also find a list of starting TEs who might be worth fading in difficult matchups this week.
Week 16 Fantasy Football TE Streamers

C.J. Uzomah | Cincinnati Bengals (vs BAL)
Current Ownership: 17%
In a season filled with injuries and inconsistencies for the Baltimore Ravens, one area where they have been consistently bad is defending opposing tight ends. C.J. Uzomah will hope to turn that weakness into a big fantasy football performance in Week 16. He certainly came up big the first time these two AFC North Division rivals squared off. While half of his 24.1 PPR points in that game came courtesy of two touchdown grabs, Uzomah also had 91 yards receiving. He has failed to score double-digit fantasy points in any game since. However, QB Joe Burrow continues to look his way, evidenced by Uzomah’s 4+ targets in each of the last three games.
Meanwhile, the Ravens have only gotten more shorthanded defensively in the weeks since the first meeting between these teams. An average of 15.8 PPR points allowed to TEs on a per-game basis is the fifth-most of any team in the NFL. Rostered in only 17% of leagues, Uzomah is widely available to add ahead of Week 16. In a matchup that could ultimately decide the AFC North title, the Bengals’ tight end could make a major impact while flying under the radar.
James O’Shaughnessy | Jacksonville Jaguars (at NYJ)

If you thought the fantasy football playoffs were going to convince us to abandon our regular Jaguars portion of this column, think again! James O’Shaughnessy certainly came through for those who deployed him as a fantasy football streamers weapon last week. Since Dan Arnold went down with an injury, O’Shaughnessy has now seen a minimum of four targets in every game. Oddly enough, it was the one game where he saw only four that he posted his best fantasy line to date. The 29-year-old hauled in all four targets for 60 yards and a crisp 10.0 PPR points last week. That line saw him tie for TE12 in fantasy scoring.
The lack of weapons in Jakconsivlle will continue to lend O’Shaughnessy with targets for the remainder of the season. In addition, he stands to benefit from another very favorable matchup in Week 16 against a horrendous New York Jets defense. Aside from ranking dead last in adjusted efficiency, the Jets have also allowed 14.6 PPR points per game to opposing TEs. While O’Shaughnessy doesn’t typically offer owners the most upside, there is a chance that even the Jaguars can have an offensive field day against the Jets.
Albert Okwuegbunam | Denver Broncos (at LV)

Despite not even being the top TE on his own team, Albert Okwuegbunam quietly has some fantasy football streamers intrigue for Week 16. The Broncos’ passing offense has flowed largely through the running backs and tight ends. That trend has been even more prevalent in recent weeks. One is right to question how the switch from Teddy Bridgewater to Drew Lock at quarterback might impact things. However, it’s worth noting that Lock and Okwuegbunam were college teammates together at Missouri. Given that familiarity, the second-year tight end might actually be one of Lock’s preferred options.
Even with Bridgewater under center up until the concussion that knocked him out of last week’s game, Okwuegbunam has been playing well. He has now seen four targets or more in each of Denver’s last three games. After hauling in five receptions for 41 yards and a score two weeks ago, Okwuegbunam led all Broncos players with 58 yards receiving last Sunday. He will continue to operate behind Noah Fant in terms of snap count, but there is a chance for both TEs to post solid numbers this week. The Broncos face a Las Vegas Raiders defense that comes in allowing the third-most PPR points per game (16.7) to the TE position.
