When it comes to fantasy football streamers, the defense/special teams position is always one to monitor. In fact, many owners opt to intentionally stream the position all season long, playing positive matchups over drafting a highly-regarded unit. For those looking to do just that starting in Week 14, this article will have some solid options for you. Don’t forget there are four teams on a bye this week (IND, MIA, NE, PHI), making a streaming option that much more appealing.
Read on for three D/ST fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 14.
Defenses must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the Week 14 fantasy football D/ST streamers column. All ownerships for players will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.
Week 14 Fantasy Football D/ST Streamers
Carolina Panthers vs. ATL (47.8%)
The Carolina Panthers are the ninth-ranked defense in fantasy football right now and have a prime divisional matchup against a Matt Ryan-led offense. The last time these teams clashed, the Panthers scored 12 fantasy points and were able to pick Ryan off twice. Opposing defenses facing the Falcons score an average of 9.7 fantasy points per game (FPPG), and that should be the case here this week. Carolina hasn’t been able to force many interceptions the last few games, but as long as they apply pressure to Ryan, mistakes will be made.
Tennessee Titans vs. JAX (30.4%)
The Tennessee Titans had a hot streak of fantasy dominance from Weeks 7 to 9, posting double-digits in all, but have slowed down the past few games. Luckily, they face one of the league’s worst offenses and who allow the third-most FPPG to opposing defenses this season. Tennessee only scored 7.0 fantasy points last time they faced the Jaguars in Week 5, but they were able to force multiple turnovers as well as score a defensive touchdown. I would expect Tennessee to be a top-five defense this week, and that’s solid value for a fantasy football streamer with just over 30 percent ownership.

Seattle Seahawks at HOU (30.0%)
The Seattle Seahawks defense has been one of the league’s worst, as they are the 28th-ranked fantasy defense as we enter Week 14. If they are ever going to be a streaming option, this is the week, considering they face the abysmal Houston offense. Seattle has surpassed double-digit points only once this whole season, and it was against the league’s second-worst offense in Jacksonville. Houston has struggled all season and have recently moved back to Davis Mills, which will take time for adjustment again. I’d be confident starting Seattle this week against a team that didn’t even score a single point last week.
