It is hard to believe, but the fantasy playoffs are just around the corner. If you are jockeying for playoff position, you have come to the right place to help answer your toughest fantasy football start or sit questions for Week 13.

This week, the Panthers, Browns, Packers and Titans are all on bye, so you might be scrambling to replace some of your best players. This article is not here for the obvious plays, so if you have Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson or Tyreek Hill, you know what to do. Instead, we will look at fantasy football WRs on the fringe of WR2/Flex status to help you make the tough choices to win your matchups. Let’s get to it!

Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 13 WRs

    Start: Hunter Renfrow vs. Washington

Team Name: A Hunting We Will Go

In PPR leagues, Hunter Renfrow has been rock solid this season, with only two weeks of single-digit fantasy points. But after Henry Ruggs was released, he has been a WR1 in three out of four games, with 17.9, 17.6, 7.5 and 21.6 fantasy points in those games. With Darren Waller’s status for this week uncertain, look for Renfrow to be heavily targeted in a matchup against the Football Team, who are giving up 39.4 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing WRs on the year. He offers an extremely safe floor with his target volume and average depth of target (adot). With the matchup and potential increased usage, he provides a ceiling as well this week.

    Start: Darnell Mooney vs. Cardinals

Team Name: Mooney in the Bank

The fantasy football WR25 on the season, Darnell Mooney, has been on quite a tear over the last three weeks, where he has put up 20.6, 23.1 and 17.5 fantasy points, good for WR4 in fppg over that stretch. It sounds like Justin Fields has a couple of cracked ribs and it is hard to imagine the Bears putting him in until he is fully healthy, so with Andy Dalton at the helm for likely at least one more week, Mooney is a solid WR2 despite a tougher matchup. The Cardinals are only allowing 33.6 fppg to opposing WRs, but they have also given up 13 touchdowns to receivers as well and the Bears will need to throw to keep up with the Cardinals.

    Sit: Mike Williams at Bengals

    Team Name: Free Willi

On the season, Mike Williams has finished as a WR1 five times and outside of WR3 range six times. He is the definition of touchdown-dependent. This week, in a matchup against the Bengals, who are allowing only 33.8 fppg and have given up only seven touchdown receptions on the year to opposing WRs, Williams is best left on benches. Going back to Week 6, Williams has only had one week where he hit, and that was due to a busted coverage play against the Steelers in a shootout. Leave him on the bench, unless you need to roll the dice as a heavy underdog and hope to get lucky.

    Sit: Kendrick Bourne at Bills

    Team Name: The Bourne Identity

Kendrick Bourne has really come on over the last couple of weeks, finishing as WR5 in Week 10 and WR4 last week. However, this week with a tough matchup against the Bills, who are allowing only 24.7 fppg to opposing WRs. With this matchup, he is more likely to finish with a stat line similar to Week 11, where he had only four catches for 42 yards and added a rush for seven to finish with 8.9 fantasy points.
