Week 7 has arrived and, with the slew of injured players and six teams on bye this week, the pickings are scarce. However, you have come to the right place to find the answers to your toughest fantasy football start or sit questions.

The Bills, Chargers, Cowboys, Jaguars, Steelers and Vikings are all on a bye, meaning multiple top options are unavailable this week. This article is not here for the obvious plays, so if you have Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill or Cooper Kupp, you know what to do. This article will look at fantasy football WRs on the fringe of WR2/Flex status to help you make the tough choices.

Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 7 WRs

Start: Sterling Shepard vs. Panthers

Team Name: Sterling Silver

Remember the preseason talk about the Giants WR corps and who would get the targets? Well, now the question has become who can start and finish a complete game. The Giants WR injury woes continue, as Kadarius Toney and Kenny Golladay are likely to miss this week, meaning Sterling Shepard will get plenty of targets going his way yet again. Last week, he was targeted 14 times, which he turned into 10 catches for 76 yards, good for 17.6 PPR points on the week. In the three games he has played from start to finish, Shepard has 24.3, 17.5 and 17.6 fantasy points. He is a plug-and-play WR2 this week.

Start: Jaylen Waddle vs. Falcons

Team Name: Waddleburger

It looks like Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle have formed a solid rapport, as last week he looked Waddle’s way 27.6% of the time, throwing 13 targets his way out of 47 passes. In both games that Tagovailoa has completed this year, Waddle had 16.1 PPR points in Week 1, then 29 fantasy points last week. This week, in a matchup with the Falcons, look for their connection to continue early and often, and Waddle makes for a solid WR2 option with all of the options on bye.

Sit: Tyler Lockett vs. Saints

Team Name: Lockett & Key

Without Russell Wilson at the helm last week, Tyler Lockett was only able to muster up 2 catches for 35 yards on his 7 targets from Geno Smith. Now, Lockett has been hit or miss even with Wilson at the helm, but the floor is lower and the ceiling as well with Smith starting. This also goes for D.K. Metcalf, as he was able to turn his seven targets into six receptions for 58 yards last week. Now, you may not have other options this week, but consider yourself warned.

Sit: Patriots WRs vs. Jets

Team Name: Obi Wan Jakobi

Care to guess which defense is given up the least production to opposing WRs? If you said the J-E-T-S, you are right. The Jets have only given up 630 yards receiving and two touchdowns to opposing WRs, both of which are top in the league. They are only giving up an average of 26.4 fppg to opposing WRs on average, while they give up 32.9 to opposing RBs, which is worst in the league. Now, which route do you think Bill Belichick will take with his rookie QB? The last time these two teams played on September 19th, Jakobi Meyers led the way with four receptions for 38 yards, Nelson Agholor had three for 21 and Kendrick Bourne had two for 10. Leave all of them on your bench this week.
