After Week 2 of the season wrapped up, there were plenty of injuries to go around, which may leave your fantasy football rosters looking a little different and potentially weaker. While it’s hard to bench your fantasy studs you drafted before the season began, the option of streaming players off the waiver wire could bode well for your success in your fantasy football league. It is always a better decision to weigh your options and play the player with a much better matchup than start the same guy every week hoping for a breakout game.

Read on for three fantasy football wide receiver “streamer” options for Week 3. Despite having late-round ADPs, these players have a great chance to carve out a bigger role moving forward, especially with the number of injuries that occurred across the league in Week 2.

Players must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the Week 3 fantasy football wide receiver streamers column. All ownerships for players will be provided and will reflect that of Monday evening.

Week 3 Fantasy Football WR Streamers

Sammy Watkins | Baltimore Ravens at DET (29.8%)

There isn’t much to like about the Baltimore Ravens passing game, because they’re a run-first offense with pretty mediocre targets overall, but Sammy Watkins is an enticing streaming option this week against Detroit. Watkins played nearly 92% of snaps on Sunday night against the Chiefs and caught 4-of-7 targets for 44 yards but didn’t find the endzone, and hasn’t this season yet.

So far through two games, Detroit is allowing nearly 183 yards and 22.5 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, and Watkins has seen 15 targets in that span. The Lions looked somewhat good in Week 1 against the 49ers, but they dropped the ball in the second half against the Packers in Week 2, and that will likely be the projected outcome for them all season. There’s a very slim chance they slow Lamar Jackson and company, and Watkins could very easily see seven-plus targets here again this week.

Zach Pascal | Indianapolis Colts at TEN (18.6%)

With T.Y Hilton still on IR, Zach Pascal has emerged as one of the go-to targets in this Colts offense to move the ball and convert crucial conversions. He played the same amount of snaps as Michael Pittman Jr., at 90.77% in Week 2 against the Rams, and caught 5-of-6 targets for 38 yards and a touchdown. He’ll never have monster yardage games due to his inability to make big chunk plays, but he is a very dependable target in the offensive scheme. He has 11 targets and three touchdowns through two games already.

It’s likely going to hurt him slightly with Carson Wentz potentially out with ankle injuries and young quarterback Jacob Eason getting comfortable at the professional level still, but that could also be all the more reason to stream Pascal. The Colts face the Titans in Week 3, who are allowing the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers so far this season and have been in two shootouts thus far. This is a game between two division rivals and an inexperienced QB may be starting for the Colts. I would stream and start Pascal here with quite some confidence.

Tim Patrick | Denver Broncos vs. NYJ (14.3%)

Another player who has emerged on his team due to injuries in the wide receiving corps is Tim Patrick, who faces a pretty horrible Jets secondary in Week 3. Patrick is a dependable and consistent pass-catcher in this Broncos offense, posting similar stat lines back-to-back weeks. He played in 73.91% of snaps last week against Jacksonville, trailing behind only Courtland Sutton. With Jeudy out, it’s clear the Broncos trust Patrick and his abilities.

Despite the Jets defense doing a pretty decent job holding opponents to low-point totals through two games, it isn’t hard to see that they still aren’t getting the job done. They allow 116 yards per game to opposing wide receivers through two games but that was against Sam Darnold and rookie Mac Jones. Teddy Bridgewater has looked on-point this season so far with his new team and I expect Patrick to haul in yet another touchdown somewhere in the red zone this week.
