[sc name=”newsletter” ]San Francisco 49ers (vs. WAS)
The fact that the 49ers are still in the playoff hunt, despite everything they have been through this season, is impressive. This game has the second-lowest projected total of the week, at 43.5, and the 49ers are 3.5-point favorites. That only gives Washington an implied point total of 20. The Washington offense isn’t scary by any means, especially with Antonio Gibson injury. The 49ers are getting healthier on defense, and I think they bounce back after a rough game against the Bills. Two weeks ago, they held the Rams to just 20 points and won the game. They are a solid streamer in this matchup.
Kansas City Chiefs (at MIA)
It’s probably safe to say the Chiefs will score plenty of points in any given week. That means the Dolphins will need to generate a lot of offense. I just don’t see that happening. Tua will have to throw a lot to win this game, and that should lead to turnovers and sacks for the Chiefs. This is the toughest test Tua has faced in his career and I think he comes up way short. He was just benched two weeks ago against the Broncos. The Dolphins defense has consistently taken pressure off the offense’s need to perform at a high level, but that doesn’t continue this week. The Chiefs are a sneaky streamer in this start.

Carolina Panthers (vs. DEN)
The Panthers are coming off a pair of strong defensive performances. In Week 12, they put up 18 fantasy points against the Vikings on the back of two defensive touchdowns. The week before, they didn’t allow a point to the Lions and put up 16 fantasy points. Any time a defense pitches a shutout, I take notice. This is a young, fast defense that is finding their footing and I’m confident enough to play them against a Broncos team that is 30th in terms of points allowed to defenses. Drew Lock has three touchdowns and seven interceptions over his last three games. The Panthers are sneaky streamer, despite their injuries.
