    2019 Steelers Stats

    Total Offense: 4,428 yards (30th)
    Offensive Touchdowns: 29 (T-28th)
Offensive Plays Per Game: 58.6 (31st)
    Rush Attempts: 395 (T-20th)
    Run/Pass Split: Run 42% | Pass 58%
    Unaccounted for Targets: 63
    Unaccounted for Carries: 9

    Projected Win Total

The Steelers over/under is currently at nine and a half wins after going 8-8 last year. The Steelers didn’t lose any notable offensive players in free agency. They went 8-8 last year while playing their second and third-string quarterbacks for the majority of the season. Ben Roethlisberger is healthy again, and he is scheduled to be under center when football starts again. The Steelers will be a couple wins better with Big Ben than with Mason Rudolph or Devlin Hodges.

    Steelers Fantasy Strength of Schedule

SOS is measured by calculating the fantasy points allowed by each team’s opponents to determine who has the easiest and most difficult fantasy schedules (rank #1 has the easiest schedule).

    QB: 11th
    RB: 2nd
    WR: 25th
    TE: 12th

    Steelers Fantasy Passing Game

    QB: Ben Roethlisberger, Mason Rudolph
WR: JuJu Smith-Schuster, Chase Claypool, Saeed Blacknail
WR: James Washington, Deon Cane, Amara Darboh
    WR: Diontae Johnson, Ryan Switzer
    TE: Eric Ebron, Vance McDonald

The Steelers defense carried the team last year, led by Minkah Fitzpatrick and T.J. Watt. Offensively, the Steelers were near the bottom of the league, mostly due to Ben Roethlisberger missing essentially the entire season. With Big Ben back, Pittsburgh gets a passing attack again.

JuJu Smith-Schuster has an ADP of the WR11. However, has not yet proved that he can perform as the team’s top receiving weapon. James Washington and Diontae Johnson both flashed potential last season, but it will be tough to predict which player Big Ben will favor week-to-week, so it’s best to avoid both until the end of drafts. Still, both have potential as deep weapons on this offense.

Eric Ebron is being drafted as the TE19, and he is someone you could use to play tight end by committee. We have seen what Vance McDonald can do in this offense, so you might as well just avoid him.

Roethlisberger, who is 38, will be better than Rudolph and Hodges, but it will be tough for him to be elite again. With the exception of Smith-Schuster, there is no one I would trust in my starting lineup.

    Steelers Fantasy Running Game

RB: James Conner, Jaylen Samuels, Beny Snell Jr., Anthony McFarland Jr.

    2019 OL Run Rank: 30th

The Steelers offensive line wasn’t pretty in 2019, and there isn’t much reason to expect that to change. Despite that, James Conner is still a quality running back. He will get a reasonable amount of touchdowns and dump-offs. His ADP ranking is 22. Conner isn’t someone that your season should be dependent on, but he is a quality RB2. This is rumored to be Conner’s final year with the Steelers and, if that’s the case, the Steelers could run him into the ground.

The Steelers backup running backs aren’t worth drafting. The Steelers will be running by committee when Conner isn’t in, and none of their other backs will be consistent.
