Once again, we had another week filled with injuries and disappointing performances. Usually the first two or three weeks are the weeks a lot of the “no name” players go off in fantasy, but that ended up being Week 4 this year. Luckily, that allows many of the players who may have just played “good” games to fly under the radar. And while we have covered the top fantasy football waiver wire pickups, that does not mean those players are the best streaming candidates for Week 5.
Here are three Week 5 fantasy football WR streamers that you can plug into your lineup!

KC Concepcion, Cleveland Browns (50.8% owned)
What if I told you there was a player who has had 17 targets over the past two weeks, averages seven targets per game this season and is still only owned in just over half of leagues? With the current play of Deshaun Watson, the ability to dismiss all skill players on the Cleveland Browns may finally be over. The production from rookie KC Concepcion hasn’t always been there, but the opportunity has. With a 26.3% share of his team’s opening-drive touches, he ranks second amongst receivers in the NFL.
This week, the Browns play in New Jersey against the “New York” Jets. While the Jets’ defense is certainly no slouch anymore, Deshaun Watson is playing at another level. To be completely honest, with the way they’re playing right now, Watson and the offensive line are both the best that the Jets have had to play to this point. With the Jets struggling to contain the Tyson Bagent-led Chicago Bears, there is no doubt they’ll struggle again against the Browns. Concepcion is clearly a big part of this offense, and he should be able to put up another solid performance.
Malik Washington, Miami Dolphins (28.3%)
It’s tough to trust anyone on the Miami Dolphins, but Malik Washington is one of the few exceptions this year. He’s posted 11 or more fantasy points each of the past two weeks, and those came against two solid defenses in the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings.
This week, Washington faces a much easier task in the Cincinnati Bengals. Sure, this defense isn’t as much of a pushover as it has been in past years, but they are middle of the pack at best. With Washington averaging seven targets a game so far and elevating his game to a new level as of late, there’s no reason to think he won’t continue to build on this in Week 5.
Since the Dolphins suck, there’s always a nice floor for him as well, with the team playing from behind essentially the entire game each week.
Roman Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers (3.6%)
If you’re a gambler, or you need a high-risk, high-reward play, Roman Wilson is a solid option for your Week 5 fantasy football WR streamers. The Indianapolis Colts ranked 21st against wide receivers in fantasy football. They weren’t much better before facing Athan Kaliakmanis either.
This week, the Colts play the Pittsburgh Steelers and the most talented quarterback of all time (just ask Tom Brady), Aaron Rodgers. Although he hasn’t seen a ton of targets each week, Wilson has one of the steadiest roles in this offense with exactly six targets each week so far this season. With 2.7 fantasy points per target, Wilson generates more per target than receivers such as Matthew Golden, Amon-Ra St. Brown and CeeDee Lamb.
In each of the last two games, he’s caught a touchdown, and it’s clear he has a knack for finding the end zone. While it’s always difficult to predict who’s going to score a touchdown each week, with his role, Wilson is as good a bet as anyone else, especially against a bad defense with one of the best quarterbacks of all time.
