NASCAR returns to Nashville Superspeedway this weekend for one of the more unique stops on the 2026 Cup Series schedule — a 1.333-mile concrete tri-oval that differs significantly from the asphalt intermediates dominating the calendar. Located just outside of Music City, it promises to give drivers a challenge under the lights.
All three of NASCAR’s national touring series will be on track from Friday through Sunday night, making it a full triple header weekend. Below is the complete NASCAR Nashville weekend schedule, including dates, start times and how to watch TV coverage for every session.

Defending Race Winner: Rajah Caruth
The Craftsman Truck Series kicks off the NASCAR Nashville weekend schedule on Friday night under the lights. Defending race winner Rajah Caruth returns to defend his victory from a season ago. He will be piloting the No. 7 truck in place of Kyle Busch for Spire Motorsports. As such, there will no doubt be many fans pulling for him to repeat.
Last year, Caruth was behind the wheel of the No. 71 truck for Spire and led 61 laps en route to victory. Of the drivers on the 2026 Allegiance 200 entry list, Layne Riggs was his closest challenger a year ago. Riggs will be seeking his third win of the current season and second straight after his victory at Charlotte last week.
Chevrolet has won three consecutive Truck Series races at Nashville and will look to extend that streak on Friday night. Practice and qualifying for the race take place in the late afternoon window ahead of the primetime green flag.

Saturday night’s Sports Illustrated Resorts 250 features one of the more compelling storylines of the NASCAR Nashville weekend schedule. Defending race winner Justin Allgaier is not only back to defend his title but is the only former O’Reilly Auto Parts Series winner at Nashville in the field. He has won two of the five series races held at the track since 2021, making him the clear driver to beat on Saturday night.
Kyle Larson is the only Cup Series regular competing in the O’Reilly Series this weekend. He will pilot the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet — a car he has won twice in already this season. JRM as an organization has been dominant once again in 2026.
Unlike the Cup Series which just reached the midway point of its regular season last week, only nine races remain before the start of The Chase in the O’Reilly Series. The bubble to make The Chase is tight entering the weekend with three drivers within 30 points of current 12-seed Taylor Gray in the standings. Practice and qualifying for the series will take place Saturday afternoon ahead of the primetime start.

Sunday’s Cracker Barrel 400 marks the second straight night race for the Cup Series and is the 14th points-paying event of the 2026 season. This will be just the sixth NASCAR Nashville weekend schedule to include the Cup Series in history. The previous five editions have notably produced five different winners.
Hendrick Motorsports and Team Penske have each accounted for two of the previous five winning results. Penske has won the last two consecutive races here with Joey Logano in 2024 and Ryan Blaney a year ago. Whether that streak continues or a new name emerges Sunday night is one of the more compelling questions surrounding the race.
The elephant in the room is Denny Hamlin. The Joe Gibbs Racing veteran has dominated Nashville statistically in the Next Gen era more than any other driver. However, he has never visited victory lane here. A breakthrough feels increasingly overdue.
Nashville’s concrete surface and unique layout may also provide a window for Chevrolet and Ford to offer more resistance than they have on the standard intermediate ovals this season where Toyota and JGR have been particularly dominant. Whether the surface levels the playing field remains to be seen, but it adds an intriguing layer to Sunday night’s race.
