The Houston Rockets traded for Victor Oladipo just over one month ago. Since joining the Rockets, Oladipo has averaged 18.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. However, Houston should seriously consider another Victor Oladipo trade, following the news that he turned down a two-year contract extension.

If the Rockets are unable to re-sign Oladipo, he is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the season. With the Houston Rockets looking more and more like sellers at the upcoming trade deadline, and the likelihood of re-signing Oladipo looking bleak, the Rockets should seek a trade partner.

Here are three possible Victor Oladipo trade destinations ahead of the deadline.

Possible Victor Oladipo Trade Destinations

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat should consider trading for Victor Oladipo. The playoff picture in the East looks like it will come down to the wire, and the Heat need a player to help put them over the top. Miami could look to move Kelly Olynyk, Andre Iguodala and Precious Achiuwa in exchange for Victor Oladipo.

He would provide a guard outside of Jimmy Butler who can create for himself within the offense, but is also able to move the ball to an open teammate. The Heat have largely underwhelmed, after appearing in the 2019-20 NBA Finals. Oladipo offers a dynamic scorer who could give them the boost they need to return to the Finals.

New York Knicks

Are the New York Knicks…good? At 17-17, the Knicks would be the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference at the time this article was written. However, the New York ranks 23rd in the NBA in Offensive Efficiency (106.2) and 27th in True Shooting Percentage (54.9). If the Knicks want to keep pace with some of the perennial contenders in the East, then they should consider Oladipo.

The Knicks sorely need a guard who can score in isolation in crunch time. Oladipo could be that guy for the Knicks this year.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Heat and Knicks are both solid contenders in the East, but the Philadelphia 76ers are currently the number one seed in the conference. They look primed to make a splash in the playoffs. At this point in time, Danny Green is a solid veteran who provides championship experience at the shooting guard position. However, Matisse Thybulle is a solid defender in his own right. Additionally, the 76ers have Dwight Howard to provide championship experience as well.

The 76ers would become a much more dynamic team if they could package Danny Green and draft picks for Victor Oladipo. The Brooklyn Nets are coming on strong without Kevin Durant, so the 76ers need to compete in the arms race in the East if they think they can get to the Finals.
