The Seattle Seahawks had a lot of rain happen this season, and I am not talking about the weather. The team from the pacific northwest had a big letdown just one season after winning the NFC West. They were the only team in their division to miss the playoffs. Not a good look for the Seahawks.

Seattle will have some things to figure out this offseason and to put into practice. Here are three things the Seattle Seahawks must address in the 2022 NFL Offseason.

3 Things the Seattle Seahawks Must Address in the 2022 NFL Offseason

1. Figure Out What they are Doing with Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson

Late in the season, the rumors got out that one of these two will probably not be returning. It is probably too late for the Seattle Seahawks to fire Pete Carroll. Now, what will happen to Russell Wilson? Will he be traded or will he be back under center for Seattle come September when the season starts again? It is anyone’s guess right now.

2. Unleash on NFL Free Agency

There are a few holes on the Seattle Seahawks roster. Two of the big ones, the offensive line and the defensive backs, were the downfall of the team. The Seahawks have never given Wilson a good offensive line and he has been constantly thrashed behind the line. The defense also gave up 4,513 passing yards last year and that ranked 31st in the league. Seattle has $36.5 million in cap space should they decide to go out and try to get some free agents. If they still believe they are in their window, look for them to make some moves.

3. Learn to Close Out Games

Like the Detroit Lions, the Seattle Seahawks saw some games slip out of their reach late in games too. They had two OT losses to the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Seahawks also lost to the New Orleans Saints where they allowed a field goal late in the game and couldn’t come back. The loss to the Washington Football Team when they failed to get the two-point conversion and the game they lost after Nick Foles had brought back the Bears from down 10. Pete Carroll has to fix these problems because that is five close losses that very easily could’ve been wins. A couple of changes here and there and Seattle could have been in the playoffs.
