Must- See NBA Games This Week

New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets

Monday, April 5 at 6:00pm CST, League Pass

The Battle for New York is as good as it has been in a long time. The New York Knicks continue to fight and claw in the Eastern Conference. With just one game separating the Knicks from the fourth seed in the East, this game will be important for them to put the league on notice. Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets are tied for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. A win over the in-town rival (and current playoff team) would continue to help the Nets assert themselves as the top dog in the East. Fans can watch this game AND watch the NCAA Men’s Championship game.

Portland Trail Blazers at Los Angeles Clippers

Tuesday, April 6 at 9:00pm CST, League Pass

Damian Lillard continues to rise in the minds of fans as an NBA MVP candidate this season. The Los Angeles Clippers traded Lou Williams for Rajon Rondo hoping he will pair better with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Rondo will make his debut against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. However, a matchup with a backcourt consisting of Lillard and CJ McCollum will be much more enticing. Just 1.5 games separate the sixth-seeded Trail Blazers from the third-seeded Clippers.

Milwaukee Bucks at Charlotte Hornets

Thursday, April 8 at 8:00pm CST, League Pass & Fox Sports

Despite losing LaMelo Ball for the season and having a roster that feels like the NBA version of “the island of misfit toys,” the Charlotte Hornets remain strong. A top-three seed is out of the question for this team, but a win against the Milwaukee Bucks would be a great statement win. A win would also allow them to remain in the thick of the race for homecourt advantage in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Bucks are heavily slept on by fans who remain convinced the East belongs to either Philadelphia or Brooklyn. As of Monday, the Bucks are just 1.5 games from tying the Nets and 76ers for the number one seed. Plus, the Bucks are getting hot at the right time of year; winners of three straight games and 7-3 over their last 10 games.
