Unaccounted for Carries: 39

Projected Win Total

The Saints’ over/under is currently at 10.5 wins, after they went 13-3 in 2019. Last season, the Saints were the only team in the NFC South with a winning record. That won’t be the case in 2020. The projected win total dropping is due to the division around them getting better.

Saints Fantasy Strength of Schedule

SOS is measured by calculating the fantasy points allowed by each team’s opponents to determine who has the easiest and most difficult fantasy schedules (rank #1 has the easiest schedule).

QB: 23rd

WR: 6th

TE: 27th

Saints Fantasy Passing Game

QB: Drew Brees, Jameis Winston, Taysom Hill

WR: Michael Thomas, Deonte Harris

WR: Emmanuel Sanders, Tre’Quan Smith

TE: Jared Cook, Josh Hill

The Saints brought in Emmanuel Sanders in the offseason to replace Ted Ginn Jr. He joins Michael Thomas to form a daunting duo at wide receiver. Thomas has an ADP of the top wide receiver and the fifth-best player in the draft. He’s better than his ranking, but depth at the WR position drives his ADP down a bit. Thomas led all wide receivers by 28 targets last season, is a great route runner and he is one of the toughest players to defend in the league.

Sanders is a good flex option. He will get a bunch of targets from the most accurate quarterback in NFL history: Drew Brees. For the same reason, Jared Cook is also a top target for tight end. He is ranked as the tenth-best tight end, but will likely finish better than this ranking.

Saints Fantasy Running Game

RB: Alvin Kamara, Latavius Murray, Ty Montgomery

2019 OL Run Rank: 1st

Alvin Kamara had a down year in 2019, while he was dealing with injuries. Kamara is ranked as the fourth-best running back and the fourth-best player in fantasy. He is well worth the pick. Sean Peyton lines him up all over the field, and he is featured prominently in the passing game. His backup, Latavius Murray, is a cuff pick in case Kamara gets injured. It would be irresponsible of me not to mention the following. There have been many rumors flying around that Kamara is going to be traded. I don’t think he will be traded, but even if he will, he is still a top fantasy option.
