Why Sami Zayn Winning at Fastlane is the Perfect Route to Wrestlemania for SmackDown

This Sunday, Fastlane will commence and it will feature The 6 pack challenge for the WWE Championship. AJ Styles, the current defending champion, will clash against Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and John Cena. The winner of the match will face Shinsuke Nakamura at the Wrestlemania.

Many fans are already hyped by Shinsuke challenging the current champion AJ Styles at Royal Rumble. But is it truly what the best for the fans? Why not giving Sami Zayn a chance? Below is the reasoning why Sami Zayn winning the match at Fastlane is best for the business.

1. The main event of Wrestlemania is already decided

Look, we all know that the Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar  is already cemented as the main event in this year’s Wrestlemania. The reasoning is simple, it is the biggest match on the card considering the star power and how highly their position is in management’s eyes. I love AJ Styles, I like Shinsuke Nakamura, and I have seen their match at Wrestle Kingdom, it was beautiful. So, I think inserting Sami Zayn in there with Styles invoking the rematch clause is the best option, and it saves Styles vs. Nakamura for next year’s Wrestlemania main event.

2. Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura Have Magnificent Chemistry

Sami Zayn versus Shinsuke Nakamura is a proven commodity. Their NXT match was brilliant. It was a showstealer. This will make the management feel safe and be a pedestal for Nakamura to show the casual fans of WWE what he can produce. This will catapult Zayn’s stock, in management’s eyes, to a main eventer and not only be Owens’ “sidekick.”

3. It Enables WWE to Pull a Double Swerve

With Sami Zayn winning the match, it will create waves of intrigue to Smackdown that they desperately need. If they already decided that AJ Styles versus Shinsuke Nakamura is going to happen at Wrestlemania, then they can swerve them with inserting Kevin Owens to the mix. Nevertheless, the intrigue is set and Smackdown will get the recognition for their championship match.

With all things considered, I think that Sami Zayn is the perfect candidate to win the Six Pack challenge this Sunday at Fastlane.
