VIDEO: Dak Prescott Workout Should Make Cowboys Fans Hyped

Cowboys fan rejoiced on Wednesday as Dak Prescott was seen in a video doing full workouts.

“I’ll be more than healthy and better than I was before,” said Prescott during a press conference last month and, so far, that looks like it will be the case going into the 2021 NFL season.

Dak Picking Up Where He Left Off

Dak’s brother Tad initially posted the the workout Tweet, but later deleted it. Luckily, they were reposted by 3DQBTexas. According to their website, their mission is to train quarterbacks on “maximizing both physical and mental potential for in game competition.”

The videos showed Dak putting full pressure on the right ankle that suffered a compound fracture and dislocation last season. But the real significance of this video was Dak picking up where he left off since October 2020. This was the first time Dak has been spotted passing a football since October of 2020.

Latest Dak Prescott Injury Update

There hasn’t been an update on the Dak Prescott injury from the Cowboys since Dak’s press conference last month, even then there was no official timeline on his full recovery. But, these videos give a glimmer of hope for Cowboys fans that his rehabbing is at a steady uphill. In fact, it looks like he is close if not already fully recovered.

Keep in mind, when Dak first got injured, his recovery timeline was around four months. This means his estimated recovery would be close to February or March of 2021.

The last video video we saw of Dak was posted by the Dallas Cowboys’ official Twitter account last month the day after he sealed the deal with the Cowboys. This video showed Dak working out, but was still a significant indicator that he was close to recovery even then.

Dak Prescott 2020 Stats

Prior to his injury, Dak was on track to have his name in a possible MVP conversion. In the five games he played in the 2020 season, he threw for 1,856 yards with nine touchdowns.

Since 2016, Dak has had a total of seven games that he has thrown for 400 yards. He is second to Tony Romo in 300-yard passing games, having 15 versus Romo’s 46.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, Dak holds the Cowboys franchise record for the most rushing touchdowns by a QB, with 24. Dak was the 2016 NFL Rookie of the Year and attended the Pro Bowl twice, in 2016 and 2018.

Needless to say, if Dak holds true to his promise of being better than he was pre-injury, he is going to be a force to be reckoned with this season.
