If you are unaware of what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 10 NFL Survivor Pool picks wisely.

If you are new to reading my survivor articles, what I do is outline my “lock of the week,” my “value of the week” and my “high-risk, high-reward pick of the week.”

The lock of the week details what team I think has the best chance of winning their matchup. This would most likely be a good team that plays a bad team. The lock is also the official pick for NFL Survivor Pools, meaning we will not reuse a “lock.” My value pick of the week details a mid-tier team that has a good matchup. And finally, my high-risk, high-reward pick details a bad team that has a good matchup. It may be worth it to look at the NFL betting odds for these games and place some bets as well.

Chicago Bears vs. New England Patriots

The Chicago Bears open up Week 10 as six-point home favorites over the New England Patriots. The Bears are in an odd spot, as they sit at 4-4. But after back-to-back losses, it feels like their backs are up against the wall in this one. After starting hot through the first six weeks of the season, it looks like Caleb Williams has kind of tapered off and hit a little bit of a rookie slump. Against a 2-7 New England Patriots team, the Bears have the chance to get their season back on the right track here.

I like the Bears in this spot, for the fact that it kind of feels like their playoff lives are on the line, and for the fact that they just have the better overall roster. Chicago’s defense compared to New England’s offense really makes this a home run for me. The Bears legitimately have one of the better secondaries in the NFL and should make Drake Maye’s day fairly tough over the top. The Bears have also done a great job at getting after the quarterback, totaling 23 sacks this season (eighth in the NFL).

With Caleb Williams’ arsenal of weapons, including D’Andre Swift, D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze, on top of Cole Kmet, I think that there is just too much firepower on the Bears offense for the Patriots to keep up with. As I said, this is a great get-right game for the Bears, and I am betting on them to do just that.

Los Angeles Chargers vs Tennessee Titans

The Los Angeles Chargers open the week as 7.5-point favorites over a Tennessee Titans team that just kind of feels like they are in NFL purgatory. The Chargers currently sit at 5-3 and are in a prime spot to make a run toward the playoffs. That starts this week against the Titans, who sport a 2-6 record and are really not a threat to make a run at the playoffs. What I really like in this matchup for the Chargers is how well their defense has been playing. The Chargers currently employ the NFL’s top-scoring defense and have been prone to turning the other team over. Whether it is Mason Rudolph or Will Levis starting this week, I am expecting the Chargers to get the best at whoever is playing quarterback. It has become very obvious that Jim Harbaugh has preached physicality on not only the defensive side of the ball but also on offense.

That brings me to offense. While the Titans have been better than people have thought on the defensive side of the ball this week, the Chargers have been just as good on offense. The Chargers have run the ball pretty well as of late, as JK Dobbins has totaled three touchdowns on the ground in the last two games. I think that the Chargers are just a better team here and come away with a win.

New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers

To kick off the Sunday slate, the New York Giants take on the Carolina Panthers in Germany. With recent reports that the New York Giants may have a quarterback situation, I think that Daniel Jones’ back is up against the wall here. That makes me think that this is a prime opportunity for Jones to prove that he can still start for the Giants. The Panthers’ defense has been downright bad this season. In fact, they have given up the most yards this season, with 3,527. With the Giants starting to get healthy and having a number of playmakers in Tyrone Tracey, Devin Singletary, Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson, I think that they have enough firepower to take on the Panthers here.

As for the defense, the Giants have done a really good job at getting after the passer. In fact, they lead the NFL in sacks this season. Their front seven is as good as anyone in the NFL this season. Add into the equation that Bryce Young is set to start in this game. Young has had a really tough start to his career, and I think going up against the best front seven in football after traveling to Germany is bad news.
