SK telecom T1, a well-known LCK team, has won three World Championship titles. Although they lost the 2017 World Championship to Samsung Galaxy, everyone still considers SKT to be one of the best teams in the world.

Early Struggles

SKT had a rough start in the 2018 LCK Spring Season, placing near the bottom during the opening weeks of the Spring Split. However, they have been slowly making their way back up the ladder and are currently in 6th place with a record of five wins to five losses.

Their struggle in the Spring Split may be due to the new roster they acquired at the start of the year. The team kept famous mid-laner Sanghyeok “Faker” Lee, AD carry Junsik “Bang” Bae, support Jaewan “Wolf” Lee, and jungler Sungu “Blank” Kang. However, SKT added many new players to their line-up for substitutions and that may have affected their overall performance.

Despite their struggle in the Spring Split against other LCK teams, SKT is still a powerhouse team. In a game against Afreeca Freecs, SKT pulled off a genius Baron secure. Afreeca Freecs had a ward outside the Baron pit, but two members from SKT were able to avoid the vision the ward provided and secured the Baron.
