Zach Ertz | Philadelphia Eagles (vs TB)

Note that Zach Ertz and the Eagles face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football. Therefore, be sure to act swiftly if you wish to plug him in as a fantasy football streamers pick this week. After back-to-back games scoring double0-digit fantasy points, Ertz turned in a dud in Week 5 with a single catch for seven yards. However, he did receive six targets in the game while playing just shy of 60% of the team’s offensive snaps. That snap count and target share both figure to increase dramatically in Week 6. The Eagles placed lead TE Dallas Goedert on the virus list earlier this week. Given the team plays on Thursday, Goedert’s chances of playing are likely slim to none.
On paper, Ertz is facing an extremely tough matchup this week. But while the Buccaneers have numerous stars defensively, their pass defense has actually left a lot to be desired through five games. Tampa Bay ranks just 18th in adjusted efficiency against the pass, per Football Outsiders. The Bucs have also had a tough time with opposing tight ends. They have surrendered 12.0 fantasy points per game to the position, the sixth most in the NFL. A surprisingly favorable matchup combined with Goedert’s absence has Ertz firmly on the fantasy football streamers radar for Week 6.
Dan Arnold | Jacksonville Jaguars (vs MIA)

Playing just his second game with the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, Dan Arnold found himself a staple of the team’s passing game. The season-ending injury suffered by D.J. Chark two weeks ago has left the Jags without a field-stretching wide receiver. If Week 5 was any indication, Arnold might be that guy for Trevor Lawrence going forward. Arnold caught six of eight targets for 64 yards to finish as the TE10 in PPR leagues with 10.4 fantasy points. He also notably played 74% of the team’s offensive snaps, a positive sign that the production wasn’t a fluke.
While it’s admittedly tough to buy into the Jacksonville offense in any way, shape or form right now, Arnold’s involvement appears likely to carry over into Week 6 and beyond. Sunday sees the Jaguars battle the Miami Dolphins across the pond in London. Miami has a bottom-10 adjusted passing defense and has also allowed double-digit fantasy points on average to opposing tight ends through the first five weeks. The Jaguars wouldn’t have acquired Arnold via trade if they didn’t have plans to utilize him. He gets the nod as this week’s deep league fantasy football streamers candidate.
Ricky Seals-Jones | Washington Football Team (vs KC)

With Washington having to place Logan Thomas on IR last week with a hamstring injury, fantasy football managers know for certain that he will miss at least two more games. Taking over the lead TE role in his place is Ricky Seals-Jones. In terms of offensive snaps played, Seals-Jones led all players at the position in Week 5. He was on the field for 99% of the Football Team’s plays. Backup John Bates was well behind 21%. Seals-Jones also saw eight targets, catching five of them for 41 yards. The 9.1 fantasy points saw him finish as TE14 on the week in PPR scoring.
While his Week 5 output wasn’t flashy by any means, managers have to love the fact that Seals-Jones was on the field and involved in the passing game. We have seen him produce big games in the past as a member of the Arizona Cardinals. The other encouraging factor for Seals-Jones as a fantasy football streamers candidate in Week 6 is Washington’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Through five weeks, the Chiefs’ defense has been the worst in football. This includes surrendering a healthy 13.5 fantasy points per game to tight ends, the fourth-most in the NFL. Considering how bad Washington’s own defense has been, this matchup screams shootout. Seals-Jones should contribute a solid fantasy line this week.
