Fantasy Football Week 5 WR Streamers
Josh Downs Fantasy Outlook (21%)
Josh Downs burst onto the scene for the first time this season, catching eight passes (on nine targets) for 82 yards and a score. This was just his second game back from a high-ankle sprain he suffered during training camp.
Downs’ success was in large part due to Joe Flacco subbing in at QB for the injured Anthony Richardson. So, if Richardson is playing, then Downs may not be the best option. Keep an eye on injury reports this week. If Flacco starts for the Colts, then Downs is a surefire fantasy football streamers option.
Tre Tucker Fantasy Outlook (11.2%)
Tre Tucker saw increased usage for the Raiders on Sunday thanks to Davante Adams being sidelined with a hamstring injury. He finished the week with five catches on six targets for 41 yards and a touchdown (which came on a three-yard rush).
Tucker finished with nine targets in Week 3, so as long as Davante Adams is sidelined, he becomes a weekly fantasy football streamer option.
JuJu Smith-Schuster (2%) and Justin Watson Fantasy Outlook (0.5%)
The common theme for finding good fantasy football streamers is sniffing out increased roles created by injuries. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Justin Watson are both great examples of that with Rashee Rice suffering a knee injury that should keep Rice sidelined for at least a few weeks.
As of now, the main pass-catchers for Patrick Mahomes are rookie Xavier Worthy, 35-year-old Travis Kelce, Justin Watson and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Those last two are likely to benefit from some cheap volume in this offense and are streamable if you’re in a pinch.
