Fantasy Football Week 10 Defense Streamers
Chicago Bears (56.5%)
The Chicago Bears have been a regular staple of this fantasy football defense streamers column and still are among the qualifying outfits for Week 10. Despite the struggle and player discontentment on the offense, Chicago’s defense continues to hold its own. In the last two weeks, the Bears defense was the only thing preventing the team from getting absolutely blown out. While Chicago did allow a season-high 27 points at Arizona last week, three sacks and a pair of forced turnovers helped salvage a decent fantasy showing.
In Week 10, the Bears have a great opportunity to maintain or even improve their ranking as the sixth-best fantasy D/ST when the New England Patriots visit the Windy City. Although rookie QB Drake Maye has given Pats fans some optimism for the future, he simply doesn’t have adequate blocking or weapons to make a huge impact at this time. The Patriots are giving up the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses and are tied for the second-most sacks allowed (31) of any NFL team. Montez Sweat and Co. should be able to win at the line of scrimmage in this one.
Buffalo Bills (48.9%)
Believe it or not, the Bears are not the only defense ranked in the top 10 for scoring on the season that qualifies as a fantasy football Week 10 streamers option. The Buffalo Bills may not have the same caliber of defense as in recent seasons, but this is still a tough team to contend with. The Bills have forced at least one turnover in every game to date and have come up with multiple takeaways on five occasions. This coupled with only surrendering more than 20 points thrice on the year, Buffalo ranked ninth in fantasy scoring at the D/ST position.
In Week 10, the Bills will be on the road to face the Indianapolis Colts. Opposing defenses have averaged six fantasy points per game against the Colts to date. Joe Flacco took the reins as the starting QB following Anthony Richardson’s benching last week and Indy’s offense could only muster six points. The fact that this is a road game indoors perhaps hurts the Bills’ outlook somewhat, but there is too much upside to ignore. The Colts will likely have issues getting off the field defensively in their own right which means fewer opportunities for Flacco to do damage.

New York Giants (17.8%)
Following the Panthers’ deadline deals, they are left with Xavier Leggette, Jalen Coker, David Moore and Ja’Tavion Sanders as their primary pass-catchers. While the backfield packs a little more punch in terms of talent, the Giants and future opponents can simply stack the box to make running the ball more difficult. New York’s defense has regressed this year, but Carolina doesn’t have an answer for stud defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence in the trenches. To be fair, few teams do. At any rate, the Giants will suffice as a fantasy football Week 10 streamers play in what should be a snoozathon across the pond.
