Tight ends continue to be one of the more difficult positions to figure out in fantasy football, and four teams on bye only add to the confusion. This has led to many fantasy owners looking to fantasy TE streamers or Week 6 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em help at tight end.
Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as TJ Hockenson, Mark Andrews and Travis Kelce. However, after the top couple of tiers at the tight end position, you may be playing the matchup more than the player himself. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 6 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis at TE.
Wide Receivers — Week 6 Fantasy Football Start/Sit
Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 6 TEs
Start: Logan Thomas Fantasy Outlook at Falcons
Logan Thomas was one of the most trending fantasy football players this week due to his performance in his last game. We have been high on the Washington Commanders tight end here for a while, and the same is true this week against the Atlanta Falcons. Thomas ranks as the TE11 overall in PPR scoring and TE6 on a per-game basis. While the Falcons are tough on fantasy WRs, they surrender the fifth-most fantasy points to TEs.
The Falcons also rank dead last in the NFL in sack percentage (3.01%), so Washington shouldn’t need Thomas to chip much or stay in and block. Instead, he will be able to release right away, increasing his opportunity for fantasy points.
Start: Zach Ertz Fantasy Outlook at Rams
Zach Ertz’s fantasy football ownership is finally over 60% for ESPN fantasy leagues. However, he is only being started in 32% of leagues (at the time of writing), but he is clearly a “start” for our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis.
Ertz has finished as a top-12 fantasy football tight end in three of five weeks this season, and he was TE16 in another week. He will continue to play a big role in the Arizona offense going forward, but especially this week. The Cardinals face the Rams, who surrender the second-most fantasy points to TEs. Not only did they let Dallas Goedert go off last week, but the Colts’ trio of Andrew Ogletree, Mo Alie-Cox and Kylen Granson also did damage the week prior.

Sit: Tyler Higbee Fantasy Outlook vs Cardinals
Tyler Higbee has been one of the Los Angeles Rams’ top-receiving weapons for about a year. However, Cooper Kupp is back, and he is going to see a ton of targets going forward. Additionally, Puka Nacua has earned the right to be the second receiving option, and Kyren Williams sees targets out of the backfield as well.
Suddenly, Tyler Higbee is much further down the pecking order, and there aren’t enough targets to go around. Last week, he saw three targets. He may need a touchdown to be relevant, but it’s tough to project that, which is why he is in the bottom section of our Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
Sit: Dalton Schultz Fantasy Outlook vs Saints
The Dalton Schultz fantasy football value has been a rollercoaster. He entered the season with some hype, considering he looked to be one of the only reliable receiving options in a rookie-led offense. However, he was non-existent through the first three weeks.
Schultz has come alive recently, however. Over the past two weeks, he has gone for 10 catches for over 100 yards and two touchdowns. Seven receptions and a touchdown came last game. However, facing the fourth-best fantasy defense against TEs, Schultz is likely to revert back to his early-season value.
Check my fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option, such as the two “starts” in this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
