There are now two weeks to go in the fantasy football regular season in most leagues. This week, we give thanks to those fantasy players who have helped out our teams while we watch the Detroit Lions host the Chicago Bears, the New York Giants visit Jerry World to play the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins go to Green Bay to play the Packers. Then the next day we get leftovers in the Las Vegas Raiders playing the Kansas City Chiefs.

That is a quarter of the NFL week done before we get to the Sunday slate, so remember to set your lineups early. FlurrySports is also here to help you know who you should start and who you should sit. Below are our selections for Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em Week 13 for the wide receiver position.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 13 WRs

Start: CeeDee Lamb Fantasy Outlook vs. New York Giants

This writer is admitting he was wrong about CeeDee Lamb. In both the article and on the FlurrySports start/sit podcast this writer said to not trust anyone on the Dallas Cowboys offense. Lamb then went out and hauled in 10 receptions for 67 yards for 16.7 points. The Cowboys stunned a lot of people last week in their win over the Washington Commanders, so maybe the Cowboys do have some life when it comes to scoring fantasy points.

On the flip side of the ball is the New York Giants. The Giants have done ok when covering wide receivers as they are giving up the 14th-fewest points to receivers this season. However, Deonte Banks has not done a great job at covering top receivers this season. In his 11 games this season, he has given up an average of 15.8 points per game. Watch for CeeDee Lamb to exploit that and put him in your lineup.

Start: George Pickens Fantasy Outlook vs. Cincinnati Bengals

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ top receiver will be a start for us this week. George Pickens had to deal with a lot of wind and snow last week, but this week he should not have to deal with that. This slowed down Pickens from his hot streak since the Steelers bye week. In the first two games off the bye, Pickens scored 37.4 points. Last week, Pickens had 8.8 points. That was not the worst, but only good enough for WR45 on the week. This week should fare better for the second-year receiver.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. The Bengals have given up the 11th-most points to wide receivers this season. That gets worse when you look at just the perimeter, where they allow the third most on the season and the most in the last four games. The Bengals will be without their top two corners in DJ Turner and Dax Hill as well. Pickens will be feasting on the Bengals’ leftovers this weekend.

Sit: Zay Flowers Fantasy Outlook vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The last three weeks have been below average for the Baltimore Ravens receiver. Zay Flowers has not gotten above WR31 in the last three weeks. Flowers averages 10.16 points in those three games against Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and the Los Angeles Chargers. Flowers will not have an easy assignment this weekend either.

The Ravens will host the Philadelphia Eagles in what could be called the game of the week. The Eagles gave up their most points to receivers last week against the Los Angeles Rams. Despite that, the Eagles give up the 10th-fewest points to receivers on the season and the eighth-fewest in the last eight games. Expect the Eagles to regroup and bench Flowers this week.

Sit: DK Metcalf Fantasy Outlook vs. New York Jets

The big man wideout for the Seattle Seahawks will be a bench for us this week. Since his injury, DK Metcalf hasn’t been higher than WR28 in the two games he has played. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has become the top target for the Seattle Seahawks. Metcalf has put up 23.9 points in his two games back while Smith-Njigba has 42.5. Metcalf may have lost his top dog role in Seattle.

On the opposite side of the ball is the New York Jets. The Jets might be looking toward the future due to their record, but they still give up the fewest points to wideouts this season. DJ Reed, Michael Carter II and Ahmad Gardner are not guys you want to mess around with and Metcalf will be shut down by these DBs.
