Here we are in the penultimate week of the fantasy football season. Some of you are trying to stave off elimination while others are trying to clinch your spot in the playoffs. Week 13 will feature a Thanksgiving feast of three games and then dessert on Friday with the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs. Remember to set your lineups early with a quarter of the NFL week finishing up before the Sunday slate. We at FlurrySports are also here to help you with who you should start and sit. Below are our selections for Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em for Week 13.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 13 TEs

Start: Cade Otton Fantasy Outlook vs. Carolina Panthers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE will be the first start for us this week. Cade Otton has had an okay season so far. After three weeks of being a Top 5 tight end, Otton came back down to earth and has scored less than 10 points over the last two weeks combined. Last week, the Bucs got their top threat in Mike Evans back in the lineup which helped open up the field more. Otton should take more advantage of that going forward.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will go to Charlotte to face the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have given up the most points to the tight end position this season. The Panthers are giving up 18.36 fantasy points per game to tight ends. Last week, they gave up a combined 34.8 points to Noah Gray and Travis Kelce. Otton should be good to go for double digits this week in Carolina.

Start: Sam LaPorta Fantasy Outlook vs. Chicago Bears

The pre-season fantasy darling that has been a letdown this year finds his way onto the start side of the list. Sam LaPorta was a savior last year and this year he has not met expectations. Since the bye week in Week 5, he has been boom or bust in his six games (missed week 11 vs Jacksonville Jaguars). This week, the Detroit Lions might be without the leading receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown this Thursday. LaPorta should be able to pick up some of the slack if St. Brown is out this week.

On the other side of the ball is the Chicago Bears. The Bears will come to Detroit giving up the 13th-fewest points to TEs this season. That is better than the average, but since their bye week in Week 7, three tight ends (Zach Ertz, Trey McBride and TJ Hockenson) have scored over 10 points in five games. LaPorta should be able to feast on the Bears defense this Thanksgiving.

Sit: Mark Andrews Fantasy Outlook vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Baltimore Ravens tight end will be on the bad side of this week’s article. Mark Andrews has revived himself after a slow start this season. At the moment, Andrews is TE6 this season. That includes his game last week against the Los Angeles Chargers where he had 15.6 points. A short week against a tough defense might not be to Andrews’ advantage.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be the defense to stop Andrews. Philly gives up the third-fewest points to opposing tight ends. They give up just over eight points per game to the position. In the seven games since the Eagle’s bye week, only three TEs have scored double-digit points (Mike Gesicki, Evan Engram and Zach Ertz.) Andrews is not going to have a fun time this weekend against the Eagles’ defense.

Sit: Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Outlook vs. San Francisco 49ers

The younger DK bro will be a sit for us this week. Dalton Kincaid was a highly drafted tight end this season, but his play on the field has not resembled that. Kincaid is currently TE21 on the season and has only reached double digits twice (Week 3 vs Jacksonville and Week 8 vs Seattle.) Kincaid will also be coming back from injury as he missed the Week 11 matchup due to a knee injury.

Kincaid will attempt to get past the San Francisco 49ers defense. While the San Francisco defense has been a letdown for the most part, they have done really well against tight ends. San Francisco gives up the sixth-fewest points to the tight end position. Fred Warner and that linebacker group have only allowed four tight ends to get more than 10 points this season. Kincaid will not be number five.
