David Ojabo Draft Profile
Strengths
David Ojabo’s upside is evident due to his size and speed at the edge position. He has incredible footwork that confuses opposing blockers as well as stutter steps, swim moves and pure speed to win the edge battle and get to the quarterback. Ojabo disrupts plays by constantly searching for the strip-sack and can keep up with runners to close down those outside runs.
Weaknesses
The biggest question mark for Ojabo is the obvious Achilles injury he suffered at Michigan’s pro day, which could very easily allow him to slip into the second round. He needs to improve in the run game because he will certainly struggle to beat out the league’s best run-blockers. Although his 2021 season was full of highlights, he has only appeared in 20 college games thus far and his lack of experience could steer teams away.
