Cooper Kupp is a name that kept coming up in preseason fantasy football discussions across the industry. Why is the Cooker Kupp fantasy ADP so low? Is Robert Woods that much better? Maybe he and Matthew Stafford don’t get along?

Well, in front of the whole world on Sunday Night Football, Cooper Kupp told everyone to take their 49.3 ADP and WR19 grade and shove it, as he went off for 108 yards and a touchdown, highlighted by Stafford’s second 55+ yard bomb of the night.

Kupp’s seven receptions lead the team, rivaled only by TE Tyler Higbee with five, while his receiving counterpart Robert Woods reeled in just three.

He finished the game with 23.8 fantasy football points.

Cooper Kupp Fantasy Football Value

Cooper Kupp has been a guy you want on your fantasy team for three years now. His coming-out party in 2019 included nearly 100 receptions for 1,162 yards and 10 touchdowns. Naturally, he rocketed up draft boards in 2020, resulting in a “disappointing” season made up of 92 catches, 974 yards and three touchdowns.

This year, he took a drastic slide for seemingly no reason at all. Did he not just put up back-to-back 1000-yard type seasons? Was a gunslinger not on his way to town? Sure, Robert Woods has made his presence felt in a big way, but did he deserve to be ranked and drafted above Kupp? Based on Sunday, it sure doesn’t seem so.

If you ended up with Kupp on your roster, you likely got an absolute steal. With Matthew Stafford now under center, there is no reason to believe anything other than Cooper Kupp will take a big step forward.

Kupp in Line for Career Year

With over 100 yards and a touchdown already out of the way, I would be shocked if Kupp did not top his 2019 numbers. He is the number one option on an offense who loves to push the ball downfield and has reportedly grown very close to Stafford in recent months.

How should you handle Cooper Kupp the rest of the season for fantasy football? Set it, and forget it.
