Andrew Berry and the rest of the Cleveland Browns front office deserves a standing ovation for the value they got in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, the value did not stop there. Once the draft was officially concluded, Berry was still looking to improve the team. According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Browns won a bidding war for undrafted free agent Marvin Wilson.
It was reported that Berry had always been keen on Wilson. We even had the Browns drafting him in the sixth round of our Browns mock draft.
Marvin Wilson Contract Details
Pelissero reported that Wilson had signed a huge rookie free-agent deal. The details are still being worked out, but Wilson received a $30,000 signing bonus and $162,000 of the deal is guaranteed. Wilson will hopefully be able to work himself into a defensive line rotation that already includes Myles Garrett, Takkarist McKinley, Malik Jackson and Jadeveon Clowney. In 34 career games for Florida State, Wilson had 109 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, five passes defended and one fumble recovery.

Wilson wasn’t the only big-name defensive player to go undrafted. Former Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses also went through the weekend without being drafted. The linebacker signed with the Jaguars following the NFL Draft. He will start his career on the Jaguars’ non-football injury list. He will continue to rehab his knee injury that he told teams was still causing him pain. So much pain that he even considered quitting football altogether. Luckily for Alabama fans and Jaguars fans, he expects to be ready to go Week 1. Other than Moses and Wilson, there were many notable names that were undrafted free agents.
