Week 14 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em QB analysis from FlurrySports includes Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott.

Let’s not sugarcoat it, you need to win this week. It is the last week of the regular season, and you are here looking for the answers on who to start to give you that win. Don’t worry, because I have some valuable advice. The following article details two must-start quarterbacks and two must-sit quarterbacks for the week. With every team playing this week, there are many different directions that you can go when looking at building your lineup this week, especially at the quarterback position.

The elite quarterbacks, like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes, will not be mentioned. Yes, start them. Who do they play? Doesn’t matter. Instead, we will be talking about the players who may be on the borderline of that starting lineup threshold. These are the players that you are debating on starting, or are sitting as QB2s on your bench. So, depending on the matchup, they could be a start or a sit. Make sense?

Now, labeling a player as a “sit” does not mean they are a must-sit player. As always, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings here. You can also become a member to join a group chat with Zach Brunner and other members where all fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em questions are welcomed!

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 14 QBs

Start: Dak Prescott Fantasy Outlook at Lions

The first quarterback to talk about this week is Dak Prescott, who has quietly played really good football all season long. This season, Prescott sits at QB5 and has weekly finishes of QB5, QB1, QB3, QB6, QB9, QB3, QB3 and QB6. What is working well for Prescott and the Cowboys as a whole is how good George Pickens has been on the outside. Dallas has two legitimate WR1s, and no matter what the defense is running, Prescott has the advantage because with Pickens or CeeDee Lamb is seeing number two coverage. Prescott has gone over 20 fantasy points in each of his last three starts and eight times overall this season.

The Cowboys take on the Detroit Lions this week on Thursday night. Detroit has struggled to contain opposing passers, as the Lions are giving up 22.8 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. That number ranks 30th in the entire NFL. As a whole, the Lions have given up 2,721 passing yards and 24 passing touchdowns this season. With Pickens and Lamb, the Cowboys are at an obvious advantage in that battle, and given the Lions’ penchant for playing man coverage, these two wide receivers will be able to exploit that and register a big day for Prescott.

Start: Jared Goff Fantasy Outlook vs Cowboys

I am doubling up on the Thursday night game for my Week 14 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em when it comes to the quarterback position. Even though the Lions have not played the greatest football lately, Goff has been on a heater in fantasy football. He has finished as QB9 or better in three out of his last four games and has finished as QB9 and QB8 in back-to-back weeks. Over that four-game stretch, Goff has thrown for 10 touchdowns and just two interceptions. In an indoor game and without a really dominant pass rush from the Cowboys, Goff will sit back, work through his reads, and find the open target a lot this week.

In comes the Cowboys defense. Even though they have seemingly corrected some problems against the run, Dallas has been getting tormented through the air this season. In four of the last five weeks, opposing quarterbacks have gone over 22 points against the Cowboys. On the season, Dallas is giving up 28.8 fantasy points per game to opposing passers. As a whole, the Cowboys have given up 3,234 passing yards and 28 passing touchdowns this season. In a home game at Ford Field, Goff is set for a huge week.

Sit: Justin Herbert Fantasy Outlook vs Eagles

Even though Justin Herbert is one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, he is marked as a “sit” in the Week 14 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em, as there are way too many factors going against him for you to be confident in him this week. First of all, he broke his non-throwing hand last week and recently had surgery. He is pushing to play, and while that shouldn’t impact his ability to throw directly, playing with a broken hand on your non-throwing hand is still a major obstacle to overcome. Next is that the Chargers’ offensive line is all sorts of injured. Right now, on paper, it looks like one of the worst starting offensive lines in the entire NFL. Third is that the Chargers play Monday night, so if you have Herbert in your starting lineup and he gets ruled out on Monday before the game, you are in a bit of a bind. Finally, the Chargers face the Eagles this week.

Let’s explore that matchup with the Eagles. As it has been this season, opposing passers have somewhat struggled against the Eagles this season. Philadelphia is giving up just 17.1 fantasy points per game to opposing passers this season. As a whole, Philly has given up 2,742 passing yards and just 12 passing touchdowns. That 12 number is tied for the second-fewest touchdown passes given up this season. With Philadelphia’s strong pass rush and all of the factors going against Herbert, it is hard to have a lot of confidence in him this week.

Sit: Caleb Williams Fantasy Outlook vs Packers

From a fantasy football perspective, Caleb Williams has had quite a wild season. He has had some really good games and has had some really bad games. Unfortunately for Williams owners, those bad games have shown up recently. In two of his last three games, Williams has finished below QB21 on the week. While the Bears are winning football games, Williams has not been particularly good, as he has missed wide-open receivers on more than one occasion. Using what we saw last week against Philadelphia, it appears that Ben Johnson is perfectly content with relying on the run game, given Chicago’s great interior offensive line. That should be the case this week, as Green Bay will be down Devonte Wyatt at the defensive tackle position.

Speaking of that matchup against the Packers, it certainly does not favor Williams and the passing game. The Packers are giving up just 16.1 fantasy points per game to opposing passers this season. Altogether, they have given up 2,432 passing yards and just 15 passing touchdowns this season. With Micah Parsons, Williams is going to be under pressure all game long. The way to attack this Packers team is on the ground, and with a two-headed rushing attack, the Bears will have a much easier time moving the ball on the ground than through the air.
