Now that the NBA Finals are over, the NBA Draft is set for Wednesday, June 25. With all of the teams in the league having an idea of what their team will look like come draft time, prospects are sure to be getting more and more hype. It seems set in stone that the Dallas Mavericks will take Cooper Flagg with the number one pick, but what happens after? Where do guys like Dylan Harper, Tre Johnson and Ryan Kalkbrenner end up?

With the new season set to start and the NBA Lottery finalized, let’s take a look at my final 2025 NBA Mock Draft.

NBA Mock Draft and Projected Order 2025

    1. Dallas Mavericks – Cooper Flagg – Duke (Freshman)

After a season to forget for the Dallas Mavericks, they got blessed with winning the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery and are now set to immediately contend with Cooper Flagg. The Duke star should start right away and can probably play the three or the four for Jason Kidd. With Kyrie Irving’s knee injury probably making him miss a significant portion of the 2025-26 season, I would guess that Flagg will be relied on to run the offense for portions of the season. Flagg’s defensive ability will fit in perfectly with Anthony Davis and Daniel Gafford down low.

    2. San Antonio Spurs – Dylan Harper – Rutgers (Freshman)

While it seems like this could be a spot where the Spurs could trade down, it sounds like the Spurs are unwilling to do so, unless it involves a big splash. If they do stay here, Dylan Harper seems like the pick. Taking Harper would be a little odd of a fit in a backcourt that does not really shoot the three well, but with De’Aaron Fox having just one year left on his contract, letting Harper sit and develop for a year and take over in 2026-27 could pay big dividends for the Spurs.

    3. Philadelphia 76ers – VJ Edgecombe – Baylor (Freshman)

The Philadelphia 76ers are in a weird spot, as last year was as disappointing as could be. Joel Embiid, Jared McCain and Tyrese Maxey were out with injuries and Paul George, while on the court, looked like a former shell of himself. If the 76ers feel like their roster is in a place where it could vault them to the playoffs, then trading down might be in the cards. Sticking with this pick, though, Edgecombe brings the most explosiveness in the draft and the ability to guard all over the court. Adding Edgecombe will give the 76ers offense another dimension and give them a plan if they were to move on from George in the future.

    4. Charlotte Hornets – Kon Knueppel – Duke (Freshman)

Outside of the Cooper Flagg’s and Dylan Harper’s of the world, Knueppel may have the highest floor in the whole 2025 NBA Mock Draft. At Duke, Knueppel looked the part of Flagg’s right-hand man. As the best shooter in the draft, Knueppel should seamlessly fit into a Hornets lineup that is looking for a perimeter shooter. More than just shooting, Knueppel can drive the paint and facilitate at an NBA level. While the Hornets have a lot of holes to fill, a starting lineup of LaMelo Ball, Knueppel, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges and Mark Williams could be very fun to watch.

    5. Utah Jazz – Ace Bailey – Rutgers (Freshman)

At one time projected to be the second pick of the draft, Utah feels like they get a steal with Bailey falling to five here. Bailey has some room for development in the league, but with the Jazz not having a chance at contending this year, Bailey should get ample opportunities to get early work. Bailey’s seven-foot wingspan should provide the Jazz with some much-needed defense along the perimeter and if they finally move Lauri Markkanen, Bailey could quickly become the go-to guy in the offense.

    6. Washington Wizards – Tre Johnson – Texas (Freshman)

I might be too high on Tre Johnson, but he is my favorite player in this 2025 NBA Mock Draft. Sure, Flagg is going to be the best player, but Johnson’s ability to score from anywhere across half court will be invaluable to the Wizards. Johnson will bring instant offense without having to worry much about his defense being top-notch right away. If the Wizards keep Khris Middleton, Johnson also gets as good of a mentor as any rookie coming in.

    7. New Orleans Pelicans – Jeremiah Fears – Oklahoma (Freshman)

The biggest riser in the draft in my mind since the start of the draft process, the New Orleans Pelicans select Jeremiah Fears here. It sounds like Fears and the Pelicans have a mutual interest, and it really seems like a franchise-changing point guard is not going to be passed up. The Pelicans are in need of a guard that can take over the offense and with Fears available, the Pelicans take another swing on someone to lead their offense.

    8. Brooklyn Nets – Kasparas Jakucionis – Illinois (Freshman)

With the Brooklyn Nets sitting in that limbo position of being on the edge of the playoffs, this might be a spot to either trade up out of or trade back from. If they do stay, I like them taking Illinois’ Jakucionis. While Illinois had a down year by their standards, Jakucionis played like one of the better players in the Big Ten. As a bigger guard, he should be able to slide behind D’Angelo Russell and next to Keon Johnson in the Nets’ bench unit, giving needed guard help.

    9. Toronto Raptors – Khaman Maluach – Duke (Freshman)

With someone as athletic as Khaman Maluach on the board, it seems like the Raptors have to take him here. Maluach has a lot to refine in his game before he is a real difference maker in the league, but one thing he can immediately bring is defense. When the Raptors won the championship in 2019, the low post defense of Marc Gasol, Pascal Siakam and Serge Ibaka was a major reason for winning. While Maluach won’t play like those three to start, his potential and raw talent is too much for Toronto to pass up.

    10. Phoenix Suns (via Houston Rockets) – Derik Queen – Maryland (Freshman)

Moving on from Kevin Durant allows the Phoenix Suns a little more flexibility as they get a small part of their future back. With Devin Booker and Bradley Beal still in town, the Suns should look at adding size in this draft. During his time at Maryland, Derik Queen has shown the ability to play a point-forward position, and while he won’t be relied on to handle the ball in the NBA, his size and technique combination is something that Phoenix should be able to use to their advantage in various lineups.

    11. Portland Trailblazers – Noa Essengue – Germany
    12. Chicago Bulls – Thomas Sorber – Georgetown (Freshman)
    13. Atlanta Hawks (via Sacramento Kings) – Egor Denim – BYU (Freshman)
    14. San Antonio Spurs (via Atlanta Hawks) – Collin Murray-Boyles – South Carolina (Sophomore)
    15. Oklahoma City Thunder (via Miami Heat) – Carter Bryant – Arizona (Freshman)
Jase Richardson 2025 nba mock draft
    16. Memphis Grizzlies (via Orlando Magic) – Jase Richardson – Michigan State (Freshman)
    17. Minnesota Timberwolves (via Detroit Pistons) – Liam McNeeley – UConn (Freshman)
    18. Washington Wizards (via Memphis Grizzlies) – Will Riley – Illinois (Freshman)
    19. Brooklyn Nets (via Milwaukee Bucks) – Asa Newell – Georgia (Freshman)
    20. Miami Heat (via Golden State Warriors) – Joan Beringer – Slovenia
    21. Utah Jazz (via Minnesota Timberwolves) – Danny Wolf – Michigan (Junior)
    22. Atlanta Hawks (via Los Angeles Lakers) – Nique Clifford – Colorado State (Senior)
    23. New Orleans Pelicans (via Indiana Pacers) – Cedric Coward – Washington State (Senior)
    24. Oklahoma City Thunder (via Los Angeles Lakers) – Ryan Kalkbrenner – Creighton (Senior)
    25. Orlando Magic (via Denver Nuggets) – Nolan Traore – France
    26. Brooklyn Nets (via New York Knicks) – Rasheer Fleming – Saint Joseph’s (Junior)
    27. Brooklyn Nets (via Houston Rockets) – Maxime Raynaud – Stanford (Senior)
    28. Boston Celtics – Drake Powell – North Carolina (Freshman)
    29. Phoenix Suns (via Cleveland Cavaliers) – Ben Saraf – Germany
    30. Los Angeles Clippers (via Oklahoma City Thunder) – Walter Clayton Jr – Florida (Senior)
