The Kansas City Chiefs will look to race for another Super Bowl, as it looks to be the only team to win three straight Super Bowls. That, of course, will come on the back of superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is no slouch when it comes to the playoffs. Other than Tom Brady, there may not be a player who elevates their game more in the playoffs than Mahomes.
The Chiefs have struggled this year on offense and I think that Houston’s defense could somewhat cause that to continue. With Isiah Pacheco back, it does take a little stress off of the passing game, but he is still not fully hitting his stride. Mahomes will need to be relied on to make plays, and we oftentimes see him take off when it comes to needing a big play in the playoffs. Of course, there will be no designed runs to him, but he is not a quarterback who is afraid to run the ball.
The Texans have been one of the better teams at getting after the quarterback this season, finishing tied for fifth this year with 49 sacks. That pressure may influence Mahomes to take off. I also think that Kansas City will win this game. So, if they get into a position where they are up at the end, three kneel-downs will certainly help this number.
C.J. Stroud HIGHER 34.5 Passing Attempts
The Kansas City defense has once again been really good this season. That comes on the back of Steve Spagnuolo’s heavy-pressure schemes. With Joe Mixon’s injury and Kansas sporting one of the best run defenses in the NFL, Houston may need to rely on their passing game in order to not only win the game, but also keep them in the game as much as possible.
If the Chiefs come out hot, Houston will play from behind. With the possible lack of the running game and the strong possibility of playing from behind, Houston will have to chuck the ball. Playing from ahead for most of the game against the Chargers, Stroud threw 33 times, and that was with a 25-carry performance out of Mixon. In a game where the game script should be the opposite, 34.5 may seem high, but it should theoretically be reached by Stroud.

Xavier Worthy HIGHER 4.5 Rushing Yards
This will be a really fun one to root for. Xavier Worthy has turned his game on and become a part of this Kansas City offense over the second half of the season. That role has included being fed screens and sweeps. As I stated before with Patrick Mahomes’ rushing attempts, I am not totally confident in Kansas City’s traditional run game with Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt in this one. I think there will need to be a little creativity, and who else to use than the fastest player in NFL history – Xavier Worthy?
Over the past five weeks, Worthy has gone over this prop four times. The one time he didn’t was when Kansas City rolled over against the Broncos in Week 18. With Houston’s strong defensive line play, getting outside of the numbers will probably be a big key to moving the ball. Getting the ball in the hands of Worthy should accomplish this.
