One mistake could cost you your shot at fantasy football glory, and we wouldn’t want that now, would we? Do not make the mistake of feeling any pressure to “dance with the ones who brought you”. If a player on the free agent board has a better matchup and/or outlook than one of your roster mainstays, take a shot! In other words, making solid fantasy football Week 15 streamers decisions is extremely important.

Pick the right fantasy football streamer option to get the win this week and continue down the path of fantasy greatness, which ends with you hoisting your league’s trophy, championship belt or champ chain. Here are our top D/ST streamers and best positional matchups for Week 15.

Note: Players must be owned in less than 60% of ESPN leagues to be included in the best fantasy football defense streamers column. Ownership percentages will reflect their status on Wednesday mornings following standard waiver processing.

Fantasy Football Week 15 Defense Streamers

    New York Jets (46.6%)

Although the New York Jets have been a laughingstock yet again this season, their defense hasn’t been terrible from a fantasy standpoint. Entering Week 15, the Jets rank 13th in fantasy scoring at the D/ST position. This may surprise some, given that the unit has drastically underperformed relative to expectations and the talent collective on the roster. By and large, the Jets have held their own and are an intriguing fantasy football Week 15 streamers option for the opening round of the playoffs thanks to a juicy matchup.

New York will be in the state of Florida for the second consecutive week to face the Jacksonville Jaguars. Needless to say, the Jets will be hard-pressed to give up 32 points again like they did last week in Miami. After all, the Jaguars are an offensive dumpster fire. Doug Pederson has proven incapable of calling plays and managing games appropriately at the same time. The Jags are without their starting quarterback and two of their top three wide receivers as well. If Mac Jones, Brian Thomas Jr. and a lackluster rushing attack get the better of us, all we can do is laugh. By all statistical and personnel metrics, it’s a matchup that favors the Jets’ defense significantly and makes them a priority streamers candidate this week.

    Cincinnati Bengals (37.8%)

Admittedly, even I feel like a bit of a doofus for including the Cincinnati Bengals defense in the fantasy football Week 15 streamers conversation. And that’s coming from someone who is never shy about backing ugly underdogs or buying on bad news in the week-to-week league that is the NFL. The obvious downside here is that the Bengals have been a sieve defensively on a near-weekly basis. However, the unit did play better this past Monday night against a backup QB. On the bright side, no matter who gets the start for the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, the Bengals will once again be facing backup-caliber quarterback play.

Much like the Bengals, the Titans are stuck with a sluggish culture from top to bottom. Unlike Cincinnati, the Titans have no idea what kind of QB play they are going to get on a week-to-week basis. Will Levis had been playing a bit better recently, but he was back to his awful self in an ugly home loss to Jacksonville last week. Given that he suffered a shoulder injury in that contest, Mason Rudolph may draw the stat this week. Regardless, the Bengals have a prime opportunity to come away with multiple turnovers on defense in this matchup. It’s impossible to fade them out of streamers consideration given that the Titans have allowed an AVERAGE of 10.92 fantasy points per game to opposing defenses.

    Washington Commanders (38.6%)

Much like Cincinnati, the Washington Commanders do not have a good defense. Yet, here they are popping up amongst our fantasy football Week 15 streamers options yet again thanks to a promising matchup. To be fair, managers who streamed the Commanders in recent weeks probably came away somewhat disappointed. Washington was only able to score four points against the Giants, four against Dallas and eight against Tennessee in three of their last five games. However, for those playing in deeper leagues, the Commanders might be more readily available to pick up than other potential streamers.

In Week 15, Washington will travel to the Big Easy to face the New Orleans Saints. The injuries that have ravaged the Saints’ offensive skill position players are well-documented. At this juncture, New Orleans has Alvin Kamara and a hodgepodge of Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kendre Miller, Juwan Johnson and others as its top offensive weapons. Maybe Derek Carr decided he wanted no part of quarterbacking this group, or maybe he is a complete bozo. At any rate, he fractured his hand on a ridiculous QB scramble decision last week. Although he avoided IR, it seems unlikely that he will play in this game. Thus, the Commanders are primed for a fruitful defensive scoring output against one of Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler.
