A total of 82 teams will play at least one game in the college football postseason.
Whether a school is a member of a powerful league like the SEC, a mid-major league such as the MAC, or playing as an FBS Independent, the threshold to qualify for the college football bowl games is six wins. Of course, the more games a team wins, the more likely the chances of being invited to a high-profile bowl game.
