The majority of quarterbacks around the NFL are playing poorly. On the flip side, defenses are playing much better than we have seen recently. As a result, we have seen many passing offenses struggle around the league, leading to many questions surrounding your starting fantasy football lineups. That is where we come in, helping you with this Week 12 WR Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em analysis.

Obviously, there are some players who are must-start every single week due to where you drafted them, such as Amon-Ra St. Brown, Stefon Diggs and Ja’Marr Chase. However, the WR2 and WR3 positions are a bit more fluid, causing some tough decisions to be made. To help you through these tough decisions, check out our weekly fantasy football rankings and read on for our Week 12 fantasy football start ’em, sit ’em analysis at WR.

Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em: Week 12 WRs

Start: Michael Pittman Jr. Fantasy Outlook vs Buccaneers

Michael Pittman Jr. comes off his bye week to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa gives up the third-most fantasy points to WRs, which is why we have Pittman in the “start” section of the Week 12 Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em.

Pittman has been a top-20 WR in five straight games. In one of the best matchups in the league, Pittman has WR1 potential this week.

Start: DeAndre Hopkins Fantasy Outlook vs Panthers

On paper, this doesn’t look like the best matchup for DeAndre Hopkins fantasy owners. The Carolina Panthers surrender the fourth-fewest fantasy points to WRs, and they are also eighth in yards per pass attempt allowed. However, that doesn’t tell the full story.

Obviously, the Panthers don’t give up many passing yards because their opponents are typically playing with leads. What is notable is that the Panthers are sixth-worst in sack percentage in the league. If Will Levis is going to have time to throw the ball this week, we have seen how he will force the ball to Hopkins, who is still one of the best receivers in the NFL. Feel comfortable about having him in your starting lineup this week.

Sit: Terry McLaurin Fantasy Outlook at Cowboys

While the second game on Thanksgiving has shootout potential, Terry McLaurin has given us zero reasons to be optimistic this season. Quite frankly, he’s not good enough to be the top receiver on a team, since he cannot consistently win against top coverage.

This matchup against the Cowboys isn’t great, as Dallas surrenders the second-fewest fantasy points to WRs this season. McLaurin isn’t a high-volume receiver, and he also hasn’t reached 100 yards this season, which shows there isn’t much upside. He has topped 40 yards just once in his last four matchups against the Cowboys, and there’s a chance the trend continues this week.

Sit: Amari Cooper Fantasy Outlook at Broncos

This will likely be the last time Amari Cooper is featured in the “sit” section of this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em, as I expect everyone to be on the same page going forward. For this week, the consensus has him ranked far too high, and you shouldn’t be trusting him in your starting lineup.

Cooper totaled four receptions for 34 yards without Deshaun Watson last week. This week, Cooper faces the Denver Broncos and Patrick Surtain II, which doesn’t inspire much confidence. Keep him on your bench.

Check my fantasy football rankings, since you may have a better option, such as the two “starts” in this Fantasy Football Start ’em, Sit ’em article.
