Fergie Butchers National Anthem at All-Star Game

Seriously…what was that? If this was a new form of protest, boy was it effective.

Fergie came out confident, but damn, she needs some better friends to tell her that maybe putting her own spice on the national anthem is a bad idea. On days like this, she really misses the Peas.

This performance was so bad that Colin Kaepernick stood up and told her to stop. Throughout the performance, the camera caught people like Draymond Green and Jimmy Kimmel being unable to keep a straight face. The jokes continued to pick up throughout the entire game. Draymond Green’s reaction was trending on all mediums. It was one of those situations where everyone added their opinion, including Charles Barkley, who joked at halftime that he “needed a cigarette” after Fergie’s performance.

Luckily, Fergie’s performance wasn’t a sign for things to come, since the actual game lived up to the hype and was one of the more competitive All-Star Games in recent memory.

As bad and weird as Fergie was, she failed to top the list of worst national anthem performances, in my opinion. The top spot will always be reserved for Carl Lewis who…had a bad time before a Chicago Bulls game. Check it out:
