Championship Week is here and, if you are checking out this article, that means you are more than likely playing for your league title this week. With a chance to hoist the trophy this week, you must nail your toughest fantasy football lineup decisions. To do that, you have come to the right place.

If you have Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady, you know what to do. Here, we will look at fantasy football QBs on the fringe of QB1/Streamer status to help you make the tough choices to win your matchups. Let’s get to it!

Fantasy Football Start or Sit: Week 17 QBs

Start: Ravens QBs vs. Rams

It doesn’t matter who starts and it doesn’t matter that the Rams are seventh in the league in fantasy points allowed to opposing QBs. The Ravens’ system has led to QB1 numbers in three of the last four weeks. The one exception is the game Lamar Jackson left injured. This includes Tyler Huntley finishing as the QB1, putting up 35.9 fantasy points in Week 15 against the Packers, and journeyman extraordinaire Josh Johnson putting up 20.2 fantasy points to finish as the QB7 last week against the Bengals.

You can start whoever lines up behind center for the Ravens this week and expect QB1 numbers for your championship.

Start: Trey Lance vs. Texans

Jimmy Garoppolo has a torn ligament and a fracture in his throwing hand thumb. With the 49ers contending for a playoff spot, they may still tape him up to hand the ball off and throw it a handful of times against the Texans. If, however, they decide to turn to third overall pick Trey Lance, you should too for your lineup. With Lance’s mobility and elite athleticism, he offers immense upside. Even though the Texans have put up some decent passing defensive stats, that has been primarily because teams choose to run all over them. Whether you have been holding him all season or just picked him up this week, get him in your lineup if he gets the starting nod.

Sit: Ryan Tannehill vs. Dolphins

It is a revenge spot for Ryan Tannehill this week, if you are into those narratives, as this will be his first time facing Miami. He also has A.J. Brown and Julio Jones back together again, but he did last week as well and, even as Brown dominated the 49ers secondary, he only was able to muster up 229 yards passing and one touchdown on his way to his fifth straight non-QB1 performance. This Dolphins team has played tough defense down the stretch as well, allowing 16 fantasy points per game (fppg) to opposing QBs on the season and only 6.5 over the last four weeks. Leave Tannehill on your bench or waivers this week.

Sit: Derek Carr at Colts

Derek Carr is the QB13 on the season to this point and, while he may have gotten you through your regular season, he has been a disappointment with 12 points or less in four straight weeks. This is another week where you will be better off with another option, as he faces a tough matchup in Indianapolis against the Colts who are only giving up 14.5 fppg over the last four weeks, which included matchups with Tom Brady and Kyler Murray. If you are playing for your fantasy football championship this week, do you really want to rely on Carr to bring you to the promised land? I don’t think so.
