Second-year guards Bruce Brown and Aaron Holiday faced off in the NBA Summer League, with the Detroit Pistons beating the Indiana Pacers, 102-84.

Bruce Brown Continues to Impress at PG

The Pistons wanted to see what Bruce Brown looked like at point guard this summer, and he has been outstanding so far. He put up a 14 points on 4-9 shooting, 10 rebounds and six assists in the duel with Aaron Holiday. Brown looks poised to find minutes in the Pistons backcourt this season.

    Aaron Holiday Struggles in Loss

Aaron Holiday is a big part of the Pacers future plans at the point guard position, but he was outplayed by Brown in this game. He put up a respectable 20 points, but it took him 21 attempts, going 7-21 from the floor and 0-5 from three-point range. Putting a further damper on the game for Holiday, he committed seven turnovers while recording only four assists. The Pacers are expecting more out of Holiday.

    Other Notable Performances

Matt Costello led the Pistons in scoring, with 20 points on 6-7 shooting.

Alize Johnson recorded a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double for the Pacers.
