Breaking: Kevin Durant is planning to sign with the Nets, per @wojespn pic.twitter.com/AX8pCX707M

    — Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) June 30, 2019

Kevin Durant is finally headed to New York, agreeing to a four-year, $164 contract with the Brooklyn Nets.

Come this fall, the injured two-time champ will be on the black and white sideline. Yup, not the Knicks, but the Nets.

Sean Marks, the general manager for the Nets, came out swinging even before the legal free agency window started. After cultivating an active roster of young guys and a well-respected coach in Kenny Atkinson, he was able to ink the biggest fish in the pond, along with Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan. Last year, they slid into the playoffs and took the Sixers to five games. That was an over-achievement. Now, it’s title vision only.

It’s an exciting time for the Nets.
