The Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills put on an offensive clinic in their last meeting (2024), when they combined for 90 points, 12 touchdowns and 1,080 total yards of offense. Let’s take a look at the ideal DraftKings NFL DFS picks for what should be another shootout between Detroit and Buffalo.

DraftKings NFL DFS Picks For Bills vs Lions
Captain: Josh Allen (QB, BUF) $17,100
This will be a DFS lineup that you go broke on drafting your superstars and take whatever the rest of your money can get you. Josh Allen put together 357 total yards and four total touchdowns against the Houston Texans last week, a defense that on paper is the best in football.
Tonight is the first game in the new Highmark Stadium, and Allen is going to put on a show. If he can dismantle the Texans’ defense in Houston… I cannot imagine what he will do at home against the Detroit defense that allowed Tyler Shough to throw for 410 yards and three touchdowns this past Sunday.
Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR, DET) $10,400
Go big or go home — Amon-Ra St. Brown will be the best wide receiver on the field, and he will command targets from Jared Goff. Per the FlurrySports Playbook, St. Brown led all NFL WRs with 14 looks in Week 1.
The Lions will be looking to keep pace with the Bills offense, and to do that, you give your best players the football. Against New Orleans in Week 1, St. Brown’s 14 targets turned into 10 receptions, 67 yards and two touchdowns. I do not believe the Bills’ secondary has improved much since the matchup between these two teams two years ago. Sure, a couple of draft picks and free agent signings were made, but nobody that will keep the “sun god” from being dominant.
To refresh your memory a bit from that 2024 matchup, yes, the Lions only ran 13 designed run plays, but it is still worth noting Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 14 of his 18 targets for 193 yards and a touchdown.
DJ Moore (WR, BUF) $7,800
Hitting the century mark in your first game as a member of the Buffalo Bills is certainly one way to get everybody’s attention. Now, DJ Moore walks into a matchup that, on paper, he should dominate. In Week 1, the Lions’ secondary allowed Chris Olave and Devaughn Vele to run circles around them. Olave and Vele combined for 17 receptions, 251 yards and a touchdown on 22 combined targets.
Moore led the way against Houston with a team-high eight targets, and in a game that has an over/under point total of 54.5, you can expect that Allen will be looking for and executing those splash plays.
Dalton Kincaid (TE, BUF) $6,800
Has he finally arrived? Is this the Dalton Kincaid we all hoped for when he was drafted out of Utah? I certainly believe it: five receptions for 130 yards against the Texans is impressive. Now, he sees a Lions defense that looked like it forgot the tight end position was real. While New Orleans had two tight ends doing the damage, I do not believe Dawson Knox will get the chance to take Dalton Kincaid off the field.
Juwan Johnson and Noah Fant combined for seven receptions, 87 yards, and two touchdowns; that is 27.7 PPR points. Surely adjustments will be made, but Kincaid’s performance in Week 1 will put him in an even bigger role for Week 2. I would not be surprised if Kincaid got well beyond the six targets he had against the Texans.

Sam LaPorta (TE, DET) $5,400
I feel like this price to pay is borderline disrespectful to Sam LaPorta. Sure, he only put together 9.8 PPR points on eight targets last week, but he did more than Jameson Williams, and Jamo had an extra target. The Bills held Dalton Schultz in check, but let’s all be real for a second: LaPorta >>>> Schultz.
I know looking at production from two years ago may not be the best stick for measurement, but in that 2024 matchup, LaPorta had seven receptions for 111 yards. I fully expect Jahmyr Gibbs to get more than 13 carries, but I think David Montgomery’s touchdowns last week are creating this illusion that he was effective versus the Bills’ defense in Week 1 (he averaged 3.0 yards per carry). This will be a game for the gunslingers. With the Lions offensive line beat up already, it means less time to throw for Goff, which means St. Brown and LaPorta will eat.
Ray Davis (RB, BUF) $2,400
Because of the DraftKings NFL picks we made on our studs, we are broke. This pick has no rhyme or reason to it other than he has the highest ceiling of the players in our price range. Maybe we will get a kick or punt return, or maybe just a few more carries than the one he saw vs. Houston.
