For the first time since 2020, the annual Canadian women’s curling championship will be played in front of the fans. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 edition was played inside the Calgary bubble, while in the previous edition, a small number of fans were allowed but were removed then.

However, with no restriction this year, eighteen of Canada’s best rinks will be gathering to compete for the coveted title in front of an audience excited for elite action. Alberta’s Kayla Skrlik and British Columbia’s Clancy Grandy are two of the few players with recent great form and are hot favorites to help their side win.

Moreover, the provincial and territorial championship games will take place across Canada. The Scotties tournament of hearts winning team will represent Canada in the upcoming event, World Women’s Curling Championship, in Sandviken, Sweden, from March 18, 2023, to March 26, 2023.
