QB and RB Adds
Gardner Minshew, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars (18.1%)
Gardner Minshew has led the Jaguars to two victories and he threw for 374 yards and two touchdowns in Week 5. Minshew has not thrown an interception since Week 1, when he was thrust into action following the Nick Foles injury. The Jaguars play the Saints in Week 6, which is a promising matchup, especially for an offense that seems to be getting better every single week.
Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings (25.5%)
Following the Vikings Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears, Adam Thielen called out Cousins for not being able to throw catchable balls. That statement apparently got to Cousins and led to his best passing performance of the year. In the Vikings Week 5 victory over the Giants, Cousins threw for over 300 yards, completing two touchdown passes to Thielen. Next week, the Vikings play the Eagles, and Cousins and the Vikings passing game are in a good position to succeed for a second straight week.
Ronald Jones, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (60.9%)
Ronald Jones does not technically qualify as an add, but it is so close that there is a chance he is not owned in your league. Through five weeks, Jones has rushed for 4.6 yards per carry, compared to 3.5 per carry for Barber. Jones has also been far more efficient in the passing game than Barber has. Jones is the running back that you want to own on the Bucs. The Buccaneers do have a bye in Week 7, so if you can’t stash Jones for two weeks, then you may not want to add him.
