Auburn vs Florida Prediction | Final Four Expert Picks

In what we thought was the toughest region in the NCAA Tournament, Auburn has had an easy road to get to the Final Four. They did not have the best showing before the tournament, but they have done everything to silence the doubters, winning every tournament somewhat handily.

So far in the tournament, Auburn was a combined winning margin of +51. While leading for the entirety of the game last round, they were able to fend off a late push from Michigan State. Against one of the best defensive teams in the tournament, Johni Broome dominated the paint, scoring 25 points and bringing in 14 rebounds. While he was injured in the game, it sounds like he will be full go for the matchup against Florida. In this matchup against the Gators, Auburn’s guards will have an easier time creating offense, as Florida’s outside defense is nowhere near as good as Michigan State’s

Even as the number one team in the country and handily defeating teams, this Auburn team still feels underrated. The betting odds have Auburn getting 2.5 points, which should be used as fuel for the top overall team.

Even after beating Texas Tech in a game that they should have lost, Florida continues to look like a buzzsaw. Walter Clayton continues to act as the best closer in the country and proved to be so with another huge second half against the Red Raiders.

Florida continues to use a strong, fast-paced offense to put pressure on their opponents. With Clayton, Alijah Martin and Will Richard, the Gators have scoring from all over the court, especially with Alex Condon. We also saw Thomas Haugh’s coming-out party with 20 points off the bench against Texas Tech.

While the offense is as good as any in the country, the defense leaves a little to be desired, especially on the interior. Even with the size advantage, Texas Tech found ways to attack the interior, with JT Toppin and Darrion Williams each scoring 20+ points. With Broome on the other side, who is the best post player in the country, Florida will struggle again to hold down the middle.

Auburn has the size and the ability to match Florida’s dynamic offense and this will be the Gators’ first game since the postseason started where they won’t have the best player on the court.

For our Auburn vs Florida prediction, we are picking the Auburn Tigers to win and move on in the NCAA Tournament.
