Team Einarson eyes a historic fifth consecutive Canadian championship, aiming to surpass Nova Scotia’s Team Colleen Jones for the most consecutive Tournament of Hearts victories. Shannon Birchard, at 28, could join the elite club of Jennifer Jones, Colleen Jones, and Jill Officer as the fourth player to clinch six Scotties championships.

Team Lawes, rebounding from last year’s near playoff miss, enters this season with strong momentum, securing a spot in the finals at the Tour Challenge and winning the Manitoba Scotties with a dramatic 9-8 victory over Team Beth Peterson.

Corryn Brown returns to the tournament after a three-year hiatus, qualifying in eight of nine events with a notable bonspiel win. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Sklar Ackerman makes her Scotties debut, leading Team Ackerman as the dominant force in Saskatchewan, clinching a provincial victory over Team Nancy Martin in a gripping 10-9 extra-end final.
